Despite surviving a terrible injury when she was shot, leaving a pellet lodged in her spine, she hasn’t let it dim her spirit one bit. She now uses a wheelchair to zoom around—and trust us, she can keep up with the best of them! Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Every day she shows just how strong, joyful, and loving a dog can be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a reminder of what true courage looks like, she’s your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. We adopted Barkley from the animal shelter in 2021. He’s a great dog. Amazing with kids and would do great with a big back yard. He does have some anxiety so when left alone he needs to be in a crate as he will chew stuff up and bark. Unfortunately since we’ve adopted him we have had 3 kids and just don’t have the ability to give him the time he deserves.
