Story
Onyx is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler that was born in April 2020. A medium-sized dog, he weighs less than thirty pounds. He gets along well with most dogs. Onyx is unfamiliar with kitties but we can easily test that for you. Onyx is housetrained. A home with a large fenced in backyard would be ideal for him. He would fit best with an adult only household.Onyx is a great dog for those experienced with the breed. Blue Heelers need daily exercise and plenty of stimulation. Highly intelligent, they learn new skills quickly. While devoted to their families, however, they can be leery of strangers. Slow introductions are best when introducing extended family and friends. Onyx is looking for a friend that will take him on walks and play games with him. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, this is your dog! Apply for Onyx today and come see him!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Hello, my name is Baracus (after B. A. Baracus on the TV show The A-Team) and I am a purebred Red Heeler Australian Cattle Dog! I was surrendered to NGAA because my owner found herself homeless and was unable to properly care for me. They said I had worms in my heart, but the nice people at NGAA took me to a terrific vet and now I am all better and living in a foster home. I have a fenced-in yard with room to run, which is one of my favorite things! I would do best as the only pet. All I really want is a person of my own to love and play ball with... I really love to play ball!Note from NGAA:Baracus is true to the breed - a very active, athletic dog who loves water play and is highly intelligent. He should be in a home that understands the breed. He is independent but wants to interact with his person and learns commands quickly. Once he opens his heart to you, he will be your constant companion.

Story
Patty has lived at the SPCA for 365 days. Her adoption fee has been waived since August. She needs desperately to get out of this environment. If you are not in a position to adopt, please consider fostering. The first thing you'll notice about Patty is her beautiful coloration, and big brown eyes. Patty's special hidden talent is she can hear a squeaky toy from 1,000 miles away! Staff and volunteers love Patty and want nothing more than for this senior gal to find a real home, with a loving family and warm couch. In terms of other animals, she gives non-human roommates a thumbs down, and wants to bask in the spotlight solo (no other dogs or cats). If Patty was on a dating app, her pickup line would be "your couch or mine?" While Patty's previous life is unknown to us, we can tell you that she is a lovely dog who has shown to be a top-notch companion to her friends here at SPCA. Give this loving girl a chance! She has been in our care since LAST WINTER (February 2022) and we want her to have a home of her own before next year. As always, introductions to existing family members should be done slowly and over time. Our adoptions team will give you suggestions on how to introduce your new family member! Visit anytime! The Adoption Center is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12pm-5pm. Appointments are not required for adoptions! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 55.2 Age: 8yrs 3mths 2wks
