Meet Puka, a handsome speckled sweetheart with a whole lot of love to give! Puka can be a little stressed in his kennel and may get mouthy when he’s feeling overwhelmed, but don’t let that first impression fool you. Once Puka gets out and gets some time to decompress, his true personality shines through: he is an incredibly nice, affectionate, and eager-to-please boy. Puka is also one smart cookie! He already knows sit, down, wait, and shake, and he’s been working hard on his leash manners. He frequently checks in with his person while walking and is learning that when he hears “with me,” it means to come right back to his handler’s side. And because Puka is VERY treat motivated, training him is a whole lot of fun! He’s happy to work for his snacks and seems to genuinely enjoy learning new things. One of Puka’s favorite things is simply hanging out with his person. Sit with him on a bench, give him some pets, and you’ll see what a sweet boy he really is. He has a gentle, affectionate side that comes out beautifully once he’s away from the stress of the kennel. And just look at him! Puka is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful speckled white-and-brown coat and an adorable curvy white tail that adds even more personality to his already charming package. Puka is just such a NICE dog. He’s smart, affectionate, treat-loving, and eager to keep learning. If you’re looking for a handsome companion who can be your walking buddy, training partner, and sweet cuddle companion all in one, Puka would love to meet you!

We adopted Zoie when we lived in Texad in 2023. Her and her brothers were left on the side of the road ad little puppies and she was severely underweight and had fleas, ticks, and worms when we got her. After getting her healthy she has thrived. She is really good with other dogs. I do not know how she would do around cats. She is great with older kids. She is a little skiddish around men until she gets to know them. She is not a good dog for little kids. The reason I am having to rehome her is I am now living closer to my two young granddaughters and we have found that she does not handle being around young children well at all and my granddaughters are under 2. Zoie is not aggressive at all towards them bit I would rather not let it get that far. My daughter is 17 and they have done really well with each other.

Mocha is ready for someone to choose her. Mocha came to us on July 15 as part of a hoarding case. The missing hair around her neck told part of her story—but it didn’t take long for this thankful little dog to realize that her life was finally changing for the better.On a recent outing, Mocha was timid at first, but that quickly faded. She sniffed, rolled happily in the grass and stayed close to her volunteer. She loved simply being talked to—and the moment squirrels entered the conversation, those adorable ears went straight up!Mocha walks beautifully on a leash and almost never leaves your side. She has no food aggression and asks for very little—just kindness, companionship and a safe place to belong.Mocha would do wonderfully as the only dog or with a friendly male dog. She can be dominant with other females, so a meet-and-greet would be important. She may chase cats, so a cat-free home would likely be best.This sweet girl is approximately 2 years old and around 40 pounds. We got Gus from a private individual that had a large litter. He has headed me ever since ce😜. He can be adorable but as he’s aged he’s gotten a little neurotic. He’s always been terrified by lighten and thunder and fire works. He’s always occasionally peed and pooped in the house but it’s gotten worse as he’s aged. He’s accustomed to being outside in a fenced yard as well as inside. Up until recently he had a golden retriever friend. They got along great except competed a lot for our attention - again not aggressively but actively! We are looking to have Gus adopted because of my health problems and the fact that we will be moving into a much smaller place with no yard. Gus is a senior citizen but still very active and a lover.

Gus is 12 years old. He loves attention and people. He can be a little anxious, especially with thunder or fireworks. He’s accustomed to being outside in a fenced yard but loves to be inside too. Unfortunately he will pee or poop inside so shouldn’t be left in for too long. He’s great with kids and did great with our golden retriever. We are getting older and will be moving to a place more senior care friendly and Gus will not be allowed so we need to find him a new home.
