DEXTER Male - Red Heeler - Born December 2023 Currently 29 lb *Deaf Meet Dexter! This charming boy is ready to find his forever home. Dexter loves to play, take walks and ride in the car! He is a quick learner and very close to being fully potty-trained. Dexter does well in a crate and sleeps through the night. Dexter is feline friendly and would do best in a home without small children due to normal heeler instincts. Dexter will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and neutered prior to finalizing adoption. If you are interested in Dexter, please email adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com Adoption Fee: $500

Story
Hello there! My name is Otis, and I just wanted to introduce myself. They tell me I have an infectious smile, and I can't help it—I'm just a really happy guy! My favorite things in the world are tasty treats and making you proud. Because I'm highly food-motivated and eager to please, I already know a few basic commands, and I'm always ready to learn something new!I'm a good boy inside, too. I'm housetrained and totally comfortable in my kennel. It's my cozy little den, and I'll settle right in for my naps during the day and for a good night's sleep. When it comes to my friends, I'm the best! I get along wonderfully with other dogs when we're playing off-leash. And kids? Oh, I'm super gentle and patient with them. They're the best to cuddle with! Now, I do have to be honest about a couple of things. I'm still learning my manners when I'm on my leash—I don't love it when strange dogs get too close. I'm working hard on that! Also, I have a big voice and I like to use it to let you know what's going on... so an apartment probably wouldn't be the best fit for my opera singing.I'm playful, affectionate, and ready to be an active, cherished member of your family. All I need is a loving home where I can share my big smile with you every single day!Are you ready to meet your best friend? I know I am!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi there, I’m Barney - yep, that Barney! Big-hearted, friendly, and always ready for fun. I may not be purple, but I’ve definitely got the “I love you, you love me” vibes down pat. At 2 years old, I’m the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. I adore meeting new friends, both human and furry, and I’m an expert napper and top-tier cuddler.I’m still polishing up my house manners, but I’m a smart boy—think of me as your very own dino-in-training. With a little guidance, I’ll have everything down in no time. I love playing with other dogs, but I’d also be totally happy being your one and only sidekick. And great news—I don’t need a fenced yard; I’m just excited to go wherever my people go.If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate buddy who’s always ready to play, then curl up, then play again… I think we could make a dino-mite team!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi, my name is Jojo, will you be my best friend? I certainly want to be yours and will make sure you feel loved and paid attention to all the time. I am the perfect size (a little under 30 pounds) for cuddles but I also love running around outside and going on walks. I walk well on a leash but prefer to walk when there aren’t many other dogs around. I have to be the only pet in the house as I want all your attention and I am most comfortable with adults. I would be happiest in a quieter household with a regular routine. Besides being your bestie I love bones and food puzzles. I do my best to listen to commands like sit and lay down and am ready to learn more. I truly aim to please always. I am fully potty trained and crate trained. I am used to sleeping in my crate and eating in there too. I have been through a lot so I can be nervous at times but your affection and care will be all I need to become your life long companion.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Roko - who goes by Naz Reid in his foster home, as he is of course a big Timberwolves fan! Naz is about as close to perfect as they come. He loves everyone he meets, enjoys getting out and about on adventures, is fully house and crate trained, and well behaved in the home. He is past the puppy shenanigans at about 4 years of age and is a nice medium size at around 45 pounds.  Naz is a smart, social dog who is highly food motivated and quick to learn. He currently lives with a runner and is an excellent running dog, but he would be just as happy to be a walking or hiking buddy. He frequently makes trips to local breweries and to the Home Depot and is always a perfect gentleman. Naz is chill in the house, but he is not a couch potato and his ideal home would be looking for a dog that wants to get out and do things. He is the perfect sidekick and would be the perfect adventure buddy. If you like hiking, camping, road tripping, checking out the local patio scene - this is your guy! Though Naz is almost perfect, everyone has a quirk. His are minor (unless you happen to be a rabbit). He does have a high prey drive and is always on the hunt for rabbits, squirrels, etc. If you happen to be into dog sports, this translated really well to barn hunt and lure coursing when he tried it for fun at a local event. And although he has never jumped our 4 foot wooden fence, he is very capable of jumping the gate inside the home. Given his prey drive and athletic abilities, I would not trust him in a shorter chain link fence. I imagine if he saw a rabbit outside of it, he would quickly find his way over the fence.  Naz currently lives with other dogs, two kids (ages 5 and 8), and cats. Naz was treated for heartworm and will need to be kept up to date on heartworm preventatives year round. If you are looking for your next adventure buddy, Naz is your guy! Apply today. He is simply amazing!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Hi, my name is Aunt Daisy. I am from Georgia. From her foster: Aunt Daisy is a calm and gentle dog who is happiest lounging around the house with her people. She is the perfect blend of couch-potato cozy and occasional adventures. At home, Auntie is a dream. She is respectful of furniture and happy to stay off the couch if you prefer, though she will want to settle in nearby. She appears to be crate trained but has not needed it during her stay with us as she has behaved herself. One of her cutest quirks is her love of carrying toys around the house. Auntie would thrive in almost any family. She’s gentle with children, friendly with other dogs and cats. She doesn’t mind being handled, snuggled, bumped, or having her paws examined. Her sweet, steady temperament makes her a great fit for a busy household or a quiet one. I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.
