Location: Spirit Lake, IA Hi, my name is Laurel but my foster mom calls me Lolo- a pint sized ball of energy. I love to run around my yard with my fur friends and splash in the pool! I like dogs that are my size or bigger and it does take me a few days to warm up to them. I do well in my kennel or left out in a room for a few hours. I love my toys but I do tend to want them for myself so I'm learning to share. I sleep in my fosters room at night and do a great job all night. I am such a sweetheart and I love my humans! I'm still learning some manners but I've been doing great so far. Location: Lynd, MN Hi, I'm Biscotti (or Scotti as my foster mom calls me)! I've been told I'm a lover and just the best girl. I'm potty trained AND do phenomenal in the kennel, as long as I get a snacky snack to go in there. I would do best with another friend and/or an active person or family as I LOVE to play. I do play a little rough some times, so would need a friend that is good with that. If there is a dog-savvy cat in the house, I have been gentle with them, but definitely want to play. However, I am not a fan of outside cats that like to run away. I'm working on basic commands currently and do well on a leash when I am wearing a no-pull harness! I can be reactive and loud when other dogs are around, but I just need slow introductions to new animals and consistent training. I'm a small girl, but know I can fill a big part of your heart! Hi! My name is Ozzy and I am from Texas. From his foster: He loves taking naps, going for car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his humans. He is doing very well with potty training and crate training. From the vet team: After coming into rescue, it was discovered that I had a serious heart murmur. An echocardiogram with the University of Minnesota Cardiology determined that the cause of my murmur was 2 heart defects. PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus - a defect that causes the ductus arteriosus to not close properly at birth) and pulmonic stenosis (a narrowing of the pulmonic valve). I had heart surgery where a device was placed in my artery to close the hole caused by the PDA defect. My recheck echocardiogram performed in Feb 2025 showed that the device placed in my heart well placed and helping to regulate my conditions. I will not need further surgeries and the cardiologists expect me to live a very close to normal life. I will be on medications life long and they recommend annual echocardiograms along with annual wellness exams (until otherwise recommended) to ensure the device and medication plan is still compensating for my conditions well. Once me neuter is completed I will be ready to go to my forever home! Could that be you?

Hi! My name is Bluey and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Bluey is pretty much perfect. The sweetest personality, a calm demeanor, loves to cuddle, but also up for a good game of fetch or a nice walk. She is crate-trained, potty trained, and most amazingly--drops whatever is in her mouth when you say "drop it." Bluey was rescued (along with her nine puppies!) from Arkansas, and after successfully raising and launching her babies into good homes, she's ready for a home for herself. Despite being fairly young herself, she's an old soul, well over the puppy stage of chewing things. We usually crate her when we leave, but she would be absolutely fine without it. Unlike other dogs we've fostered, she leaves behind no toothmarks on anything. She loves people, including children, and is friendly and gentle with everyone. Walks well on a leash. She does get a little nervous when she meets bigger dogs, but doesn’t pull or lunge or even bark a lot, just steps closer to you and stays very alert until you’re past the other dog. No barking at smaller dogs. If you're looking for a dog who already has basic skills down, and will be ecstatic to see you every time you get home, Bluey just might be your girl! Bluey does best in a home where she is the only dog, or at least the only medium/large dog. She's been fine with small dogs, but gets nervous around bigger dogs. She stares at the cat, but doesn't chase her.

Hi! My name is Zeppelin and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Zeppelin is an Australian Cattle Dog Mix. His mom is about 40 pounds, so I estimate he will grow to be the perfect medium size pup. We are still working on potty training. Zeppelin sleeps well through the night in his kennel with his sibling without any accidents and without any barking. He does bark for a while when separated from his sibling. He loves kids and other dogs but sometimes his puppy bites bother them. He loves all the attention and will push through other dogs to make sure he gets the most attention.
