Story
Hi! I'm Bruce! I am a year old Heeler Mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Extroverted, Quiet Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I will climb in your lap if you let me. I love touching my people, if I am not in your lap, I am by your feet. I will play with soft toys or squeaky toys, however I would rather be next t you while I do it! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6/10 Housetraining Status: I am still learning, with some consistency and a good routine I should be housetrained in no time! I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions. I should do well in a home with kids of any age with proper supervision. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I would do in a home with cats. My favorite activities are: Cuddling, snuggling, and getting love! I do also love playing fetch. Things I need work on are: Basic Commands, and House training Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "He did so good, He was a little nervous when being outside but while inside he calmed down and played. Today we got to get a pup cup, watch a show, chill with people, go on walks and got lots of treats" "He was really excited at first and when he calmed down was really sweet and playful, he is a very very affectionate dog and loves kisses and cuddles. He did okay on the walk he pulls a little bit and tries to go off in different directions but overall was pretty good." Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Rosie Rosie’s story starts a little rough—but you’d never know it from her sweet, easygoing personality. This adorable girl was found in a rural area absolutely covered in hundreds of fleas, but she’s already proving she’s tougher than her past and ready for a bright, happy future.Rosie is the kind of puppy who just fits—she’s dog, cat, and kid friendly, making her an easy addition to just about any home. She’s also on the quieter side for a pup (yes, really!), preferring to take in the world without constant commentary. Think more soft background music than full-blown rock concert We expect Rosie to grow into a 60–70 lb dog, likely a mix with some Heeler in her—so she may have a little intelligence and curiosity sprinkled in with that sweetness. She’s the perfect blank slate for someone ready to help a great puppy grow into an amazing companion. Dog, cat & kid friendly Quiet, easygoing puppy Estimated adult size: 60–70 lbs Possible Heeler mixRosie would likely arrive around 5/12 with a committed foster or adoptive home lined up.Her adoption fee is $250, which includes spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccines, and a current vet check. If you are interested in giving Rosie the home she’s been waiting for, message us or apply at newleashdogrescue.com  ##2740627##

Story
🐾 Meet Peter! 🐾 Peter is a 2-year-old Heeler/Staffy/Labrador Retriever mix weighing 55 lbs of pure love 💛 This sweet boy may be a little shy at first—but that’s only because he’s spent half his life in a shelter, patiently waiting for someone to finally choose him. Once he feels safe, Peter blossoms into a goofy, affectionate pup who just wants to be by your side 🥹 He loves to jump, play, and have fun with both dogs and humans—but he’s just as happy lounging on a cozy bed and being your couch potato companion 🛋️🐶 ✨ The good stuff: • Dog friendly 🐕 • Currently scared of cats (he keeps his distance 😅) • Crate trained ✅ • Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped 💉 • Loves soft beds & being near his people • Sweet, silly, and full of love Peter can be a little bashful and prefers to say hello on his own time—but once he trusts you, he’s all in 💕 He also does best enjoying meals and treats in his own space. He’s still working on house training, but he’s a quick learner and eager to please—he just needs someone patient to show him the ropes 🌟 Peter doesn’t need perfect—he just needs a chance. 💕 Give this special boy the home he’s been waiting for… you won’t regret it. 📍 being fostered in Elkhart Lake, WI 🏁My adoption fee is $200 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. Our website takes days to update so please apply even if I’m not on there. ✅You can apply directly at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog?fbclid=IwAR2NSCms13xrrfdH2mAbM1hPg5dQoC0ruvNJI3TsFtZtsWp9PvNx46zC6SM 501(c)(3) Approved WI Agricultural Licence#285589-DSR

Story
We are Cajun and Grit! We came from a local home of too many animals in general. We were kept in the barn or kennel our whole life thus far. We have now come to the shelter and are blossoming! Grit is more brave than I, but I have come a long ways! We both love to go for walks. A few meetings may need to happen as new things are a bit frightening. We would love an active person or family!
