Story
Meet Weasel! Weasel is a 9-month-old Australian Red Heeler mix with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome brown-and-white boy is full of love and energy, and he’s ready to share both with his forever family. Weasel’s favorite things in the world are playtime and cuddles — preferably in that order! He’s a fun, affectionate companion who loves being near his people and soaking up every bit of attention. Whether you’re heading out for an adventure or settling in for a movie night, Weasel will be right by your side, reminding you how good life (and he) can be. He’s still young and eager to learn, so he’ll thrive in a home that gives him guidance, structure, and plenty of praise — because being told he’s a good boy is his absolute favorite! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving best friend who will keep you smiling and your heart full, Weasel might just be the perfect match. ❤️ Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love. Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. If you don't have room to take home a pet but want to support our efforts to save animals in need, please consider making a donation. Story
Pixel is a bubbly 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. She`s on the smaller side, weighing around 37lbs, but she has a large and fun personality. She LOVES playing fetch and will play until you can`t play anymore! She`s an energetic girl that would love an active family, and a backyard is only a bonus for her. Come throw a ball for her, and you`ll become best friends in no time! She`s also a big water dog and loves to splash and play. She’s so loving and is so ready for a place to call home. Pixel`s a goofy bundle of enthusiasm, and she does well with kids ages 12+. She`s also not a huge cat fan, but she does enjoy playing with some dogs! She would do best with dogs her size or larger and would love to meet her future siblings before going home.

Story
Meet Reed, a very special boy looking for a very special home. Reed is a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart that’s bigger than his paws. This sweet, loving canine is in need of a medical foster or adopter who can give him the chance he truly deserves.Reed is suspected to have a genetic neurological condition. He has a wobbly walk and is on medication to help prevent seizures. The medication has successfully reduced his seizure episodes! Due to this condition, he’ll need medication twice a day and someone who can offer patience, understanding, and lots of love.Despite his challenges, Reed is still very much a puppy at heart:- High energy- Absolutely adores his stuffies- Incredibly affectionate and people-lovingHe doesn’t let his diagnosis define him - he just wants to play, cuddle, and be loved. Reed has so much joy to give and a huge heart he’s ready to share… he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. If you’ve ever considered being a medical foster or opening your home to a dog who will love you endlessly, Reed could be your boy. Fostering with us is 100% FREE - we provide all needed food and supplies! Stop by the shelter at 3161 W. Norton Road or call us at 417-833-2526 to learn more about how you can be Reed`s hero.

Story
Bob is a good dog, 3 years old, he needs a fenced in yard and would do really well with a playmate. He is an escape artist! He's a great little watchdog and will let you know if someone is nearby. He is housebroken but his way of telling you he has to go is to sit at your feet and stare or jump up on your lap. His favorite game is fetch and his favorite toy is his lamb. He doesn't do well with children and he takes awhile to warm up to strangers. He doesn't like people playing with his tail or behind until he trusts you. He will growl but he's never bitten anyone. He loves walks and car rides and needs an active person which I no longer am. He also requires minimum grooming. If you have any questions please contact me.
