Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Let me introduce you to Annie ❤️   Annie is a beautiful Red Heeler with a heart to match. While she’s been raising her puppies, she’s also been showing everyone exactly who she is—and it’s something special.   Her foster mom says if she didn’t already have five dogs of her own, Annie would be staying. That alone tells you everything you need to know.   Annie has all the best traits of a cattle dog—she’s smart, attentive, loyal, and deeply connected to her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world, whether that’s helping you with daily life or simply being by your side.   And underneath that classic Heeler intelligence is a very sweet, gentle soul. She’s loving, steady, and has done an incredible job raising her puppies.   Annie is ready for a home of her own now—a place where she’s not just the mama, but someone’s heart dog.   If you know and love the spirit of a good cattle dog, Annie may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.   Apply to adopt Annie and give this wonderful girl the life she deserves. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. Story
Meet Cindy! This sweet girl got raving reviews from her foster family. She did very well in their home in downtown Portsmouth, despite all the hustle and bustle that comes with the area! Cindy walks very well on leash and loves to explore! Since being in our care, she has had a successful play date with a now PMHS alumni! Typical cattle dog behavior, she can be pushy with other dogs. She can be a little shy meeting new people, but once she warms up to you she will steal your whole heart!

Story
🌟 Meet Wanda & Lillian — A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Miracle 🌟 Location: Tennessee | Transport Available Wanda and Lillian are two beautiful souls who ended up in an overcrowded shelter through no fault of their own. Now, heartbreakingly, they’ve landed on the euthanasia list. But these girls aren’t done living—not even close. They’re full of love, joy, and the kind of spirit that makes a home feel whole. 🐾 Wanda Age: 5 years Weight: 51 lbs Personality: Gentle, steady, and endlessly affectionate. Wanda is the calm presence who leans in for love and watches over her younger sister with quiet devotion. She’s the kind of dog who seems to understand your heart before you even speak. 🐾 Lillian Age: 1 year Weight: 34 lbs Personality: Playful, bright, and full of puppy charm. Lillian brings the sparkle—she’s curious, eager to learn, and happiest when she’s close to Wanda or her humans. She looks to Wanda for guidance and comfort, and the bond between them is unmistakable. ❤️ Why They Need to Stay Together Wanda and Lillian rely on each other in the sweetest ways. Wanda gives Lillian confidence, and Lillian brings out Wanda’s youthful side. Separating them would break their hearts—and honestly, it would break ours too. They’re a ready-made family, and they deserve to stay that way. 🏡 What They’re Hoping For A safe, loving home where they can finally exhale. A family who sees their worth. Someone who understands that saving them means gaining two loyal companions who will repay kindness with a lifetime of gratitude. They are both vaccinated and will be spayed prior to adoption. Heartworm treatment for Wanda will be provided by the rescue. Transport is available, so no matter where you are, these girls can come to you. All they need is someone willing to say yes. PLEASE CONTACT JULIE on 919 624 0059 asap if interested.

Story
Meet sweet Tyra! This pretty girl was saved minutes before euthanasia at a TN shelter. She is in temporary boarding and needs a home of her own. Tyra is 2.5 yrs old, 45 lbs, fully vaccinated and spayed. She does have heartworms which the rescue has a treatment program for. 🐈 Cat and Dog Friendly and 🧻 House Trained per foster notes Here are notes about Tyra's personality: "this sweet girl is overflowing with ❤️ and charm. She's a breeze to 🦮leash up and walks like a pro-calm and curious as she takes in the world around her. When we got to the yard, Tyra's adventurous side came out-she loved exploring every corner. But as soon as I sat down, she ran right over for 💋kisses and belly rubs! She's also a social butterfly, excited to meet other 🐾dogs, even greeting her neighbor pup through the fence with a friendly nose touch!🐕 🩷If you're looking for a dog who's all about cuddles when you're ready to relax, but also ready for playtime whenever you are, Tyra is your girl! She's the perfect balance of snuggles and energy."💖 🐾Her foster mom says: "Tyra has settled in well! We are crate training, and leash training. She's fully housebroken, has not had a single potty accident! She goes to the back door when she wants to go out & barks to be let back in. She's mastered "sit and "down, we're working on "stay. She's now cat-friendly, too." Here's what a volunteer said about Tyra: 🐾"She is very VERY affectionate. In the yard, we played a little fetch, but mostly she just wanted pets and to be held." Tyra Sanchez went on a field trip, and here's how it went: 🐾"Tyra is a very sweet and loving puppy. She did not bark or whine when near other people or other dogs. She is very cautious around cars and loud noises. She is a great walker! 🩷Tyra loves to be around people and gets very excited. She is very gentle when taking 🍪 treats by hand. Overall Tyra was very fun to be around and I'd recommend anyone looking to adopt to consider adopting her."💖 🟢 Assistance with heart worm treatment available to adopters Tyra is currently in Mississippi and available for transport to your area. Please contact Julie on 919 624 0059 to learn more about this sweet girl.
