Story
Meet Jade, a charming older gal looking for that special someone to be the center of her world. Jade is a busy lady who would thrive in a quiet environment with a consistent routine and a family who is ready to make adjustments as she continues to settle in. She lived with children in her previous home, but was worried or overwhelmed when there was too much commotion, so she would do best in a lower-traffic home--if there are kids in the home, they should be able to follow her management plan.Jade can be a tad worried when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she is falling into your lap wanting endless pets. She says no thank you to living with dogs right now, please! Jade was reportedly scared of the cat in the previous home, so would prefer any cats in the home to be mellow and tolerant, and would need full separation onto start.Miss Jade has a history of bladder stones, so is currently on a prescription diet. Adopters should plan to establish regular care with a vet to ensure that she`s feeling her best.

Story
â¤ï¸ Blue Sassy: The Dog Who Still Has So Much Love Left to Give ❤️   Sometimes a rescue story finds you, and before you know it, you’ve become part of a journey that desperately deserves a happy ending.   Blue Sassy is a 9-year-old Blue Heeler who spent her entire life with one man who adored her. He raised her from a puppy, and every night she slept beside him. She wasn’t just his dog—she was his comfort, his companion, and his therapy through life’s challenges.   A few months ago, her owner reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue with a heartbreaking request. His health was failing, and he was being forced to move somewhere his beloved dogs could not follow. Through tears, he asked us to help.   When Blue Sassy came into rescue, she finally received the veterinary care she hadn’t had in years. During her spay and wellness exam, we discovered she was diabetic. The untreated diabetes had also affected her eyesight, leaving her with limited vision.   But here’s the remarkable thing about Blue Sassy…   She doesn’t feel sorry for herself.   She wakes up every day happy. She greets people with a smile. She loves to explore the yard with her nose leading the way. She loves ear scratches, belly rubs, curling up on the couch, and most of all, sitting in your lap soaking up affection. She still has all the intelligence, confidence, and personality that make Blue Heelers such incredible companions.   Her foster family absolutely adores her.   Blue Sassy would do best in a home with minimal stairs and easy access to the outdoors for potty breaks. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves children, and enjoys being around people. While her vision isn’t perfect, she navigates her world surprisingly well and adapts with the resilience dogs are famous for.   Her diabetes is manageable with twice-daily insulin injections, given about 12 hours apart. The insulin itself is affordable, and the injections are quick and easy. Other than her diabetes, her bloodwork and health checks have been excellent.   What Blue Sassy needs now isn’t pity.   She needs someone who sees beyond a diagnosis and recognizes the loving, loyal, funny, affectionate dog standing right in front of them.   At 9 years old, she still has plenty of life to live, plenty of cuddles to give, and plenty of memories left to make. Age is only a number, and Blue Sassy’s heart is as young as ever.   Could you be the person who gives this sweet girl the next chapter she deserves?   If you’d like to learn more about Blue Sassy, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   She has already been someone’s whole world once. We’d love to find her another family to love just as deeply       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 14, 2026, 1:03 pm

Story
We adopted him at Northeast animal shelter in Salem, Massachusetts We have just bought a condo and he was getting excitement aggressive to my fiancé so we gave him to my parents that has two other small dogs He’s a great dog when relaxing and chilling but the moment he gets over, excited he becomes aggressive he jumps. He tries to bite ankles, and clothing, and it’s very tough for us to stop him when he gets in that mode With my parents, other two small dogs, one of them is the excited one that will chase him around the yard, but at some point, it gets too crazy to the point where we’d have to stop and break it up He is not aggressive in the mean type of way or aggressive towards children, but when children are running around, he gets over excited and goes after clothes and ankles and jumps on top of them and pushes them down
