Story
Once was a momma — now a friend looking for a family of her own to love her Meet Rosie – a sweet, soulful girl ready for her fresh start! This beautiful 3-year-old, 40 lb shepherd mix was left behind as a stray in rural Texas, found caring for a litter of puppies (you may remember the adorable Lion King litter—Rosie is their amazing mama!). She’s been through a lot, including heartworm treatment, and now she’s healthy, happy, and ready to head north in search of her forever home. Rosie is a gentle and loving companion who just needs a little time to feel safe—once she does, her personality blossoms After about a week in her foster home, she transformed into a snuggly, playful sweetheart. She loves to run, play with toys, and has a funny habit of collecting shoes (don’t worry—she doesn’t chew them, she just builds a little pile of her fav treasures!). She’s also got a calm, chill side—perfect for someone who works from home. She enjoys snoozing next to the resident dog and is great on leash, happy to go for walks and sniff everything along the way. Rosie is still building confidence in new situations and around new people. This gal can be timid & would thrive as a second dog in a home with another calm, confident pup, or with someone who has experience with shy dogs. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to watch a gentle soul blossom, Rosie will absolutely steal your heart. crste trained & housebrokenspayed, vaccinated & microchipped————————Rosie is available for adoption in October  *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
I got Panda when I was separated from the Navy. It was during Covid. She was in a foster program where they had rescued her from a neglectful and abusive home. I was living in Texas at that time. Panda is very sweet, she loves cuddling and sleeping on the bed with me. Whenever sirens go by the house, she will start howling. She rarely ever barks. Unless a dog near her starts barking. She can be a bit skittish so she needs someone who is gentle with her. Ive have realized that she is a little scared of some men. But if you work with her with bribing treats, she will warm up to the men. She is very people focused. So I am looking for someone who does not have kids or at least older kids. She used to have a best friend who was a Belgian Malinois, so she is fine with dogs. But she does like her space and she will nip and growl if the other dog starts to annoy her. But she will play with them once she get used to them. She does like little dogs.

Story
MEET DUNCAN!Duncan is a cute, snuggly, and playful puppy who gained a little confidence in a foster home while still enjoying his independence. Though initially unsure of his surroundings, he quickly found comfort in his bed, making it his safe space and happily engaging in independent play with soft, crinkly, squeaky toys. Duncan enjoys food and is a good eater, showing particular enthusiasm for his Kong filled with peanut butter. He slept soundly through the night and became comfortable resting in his crate during car rides. While he has grown more confident outside sniffing, showing burst of puppy energy, and even enjoying snow, Duncan clearly prefers the coziness of being indoors and eagerly heads back home. He is learning to walk on leash and is becoming more relaxed with each outing. Inside, Duncan truly shines, offering sweet snuggles, playful moments and a joyful puppy presence that makes him such a fun guy to be around.Duncan is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Duncan or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Story
Biscuit (approximately 45 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. This happy & enthusiastic young fellow brings joy wherever he goes - it's almost impossible to frown when Biscuit is being a clown! Biscuit is what is known as a "teenage" puppy, meaning that he is almost his adult size but still acts like a puppyboy in most situations. Biscuit loves humans and is always happy to make new friends. He also enjoys Exploring news environments, making him a super fun potential hiking companion. Biscuit lived with another dog (his sister) in his previous home, and he has been friendly towards the dogs that he has encountered here. All toys are good toys in Biscuit's mind, and he is noticeably thrilled when he receives a new one. Snacks and petting are both at the top of his "Favorites" list as well, and his tail wags super hard whenever any of these things are a possibility. Biscuit also features an adorable ridge of hair that runs down his back - you can see it in his photo! - making us wonder if he has Ridgeback somewhere in his gene pool! Come check it out for yourself, it's extremely adorable! If you'd like to meet Biscuit and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today. Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 20.4 Age: 0yrs 7mths 4wks

Story
Dodge is a toung, strikingly handsome Blue Heeler/Lab mix with a bright spirit to match his good looks. About one year old and weighing 43 pounds, this mostly black shiny boy has a beautiful gray-speckled chest that gives him a regal, eye-catching look. With longer legs and a slimmer build than a typical Heeler, he carries himself with confidence and athletic grace. Whatever breeds make up his DNA, one thing is certain — Dodge is sweet, playful, and incredibly smart.   Dodge’s story began in the countryside, where he arrived at a rental home alongside a female Heeler mix and their six puppies. When the family couldn’t keep dogs, a cattle dog rescue stepped in to save the puppies, the mama was rehomed, and Dodge found his way to Critter Cavalry Rescue so he could be fully vetted and matched with the perfect home. Still very much a puppy at heart, Dodge brings goofy charm, happy energy, and a love of life wherever he goes. A fenced yard and an active household will help him burn off his enthusiasm and enjoy the adventures he craves.   He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes, is respectful of cats, and would likely be a hit with kids who can keep up with his playful nature. Dodge is learning leash skills quickly and would make an excellent walking partner. He’s eager to learn, quick to please, and happiest when he’s close to his people, watching over them and soaking up attention. With continued training, Dodge is going to be an incredible lifelong companion. If you’re ready for a fun, smart, and loyal sidekick, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Transport is available from Tennessee to the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 6, 2026, 11:52 pm
