Story
Joker is the kind of dog who refuses to be put in a box.Seven years old, 53 pounds, and somehow both a full-speed-ahead adventure partner and a couch companion who will happily melt into you at the end of the day. He’s a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with that classic “let’s go do something” mindset—still very much living life in motion—but with a soft, affectionate side that shows up the second he leans in for attention. And then there’s the tongue. It’s… a situation. Slightly too big, always making an appearance, and completely on brand for a dog who doesn’t take himself too seriously.Joker would love a home that keeps him engaged. A jogging partner? Ideal. Someone who likes to be outside, move around, and bring their dog along for the ride? Even better. He’s not slowing down just because the calendar says he’s seven. When the day winds down, though, he’s all about the other half of his personality—the part that wants to be close, soak up affection, and settle in right next to you.He may be able to live with another dog, but it would need to be the right match—someone who complements his energy without overwhelming or clashing with it. Cats are unknown at this time.If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up with your active days and still be your go-to snuggle at night, Joker is ready to meet you.If you are interested, please give us a call at 716-731-4368, extension 0.

Story
Garth 1 year old Neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix 30-35 lbs Garth was adopted about a month ago and unfortunately returned today. His adopters were so sweet and kind and tried so hard to make things work, but unfortunately we learned that their living situation just wasn’t going to be right for him. He came out of a puppy mill around 10 months old, so he will take time to warm up to things. We have decided he will do best in a home with direct access to a fenced yard, and preferably another confident dog who can show him the ropes. - Dog friendly - Previously did well with cats - Crate trained, may be vocal while adjusting - Previously potty trained if kept on a good routine - Will walk on leash well once he’s comfortable - NEEDS a fully fenced yard for potty breaks - Would likely prefer a home without stairs If you’re interested in adopting Garth please complete an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt Long distance adoptions considered at the adopters expense. *Please keep in mind that it is time consuming for our volunteers to process applications. We ask that you are sure you are ready to welcome a dog into your home and are seriously interested in adopting BEFORE applying.*
