This abandoned stray was taken in by a kind family when found on their doorstep, but they need to rehome him ASAP due to illness in their family. He is now vaccintated, approximately 3 yrs-old, and vets thinks him to be a Brittany-mix, who will point in the yard and is very affable...Knows some commands: sit and stay; enjoys being with people and car rides. Needs a loving home, please! Fenced yard required; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.March 1, 2026, 6:24 am

Story
Prudence is an ACD/Black&Tan Coonhound mix and about 3 years old. We adopted her from Forsyth County Animal Shelter in June 2023. She’s a very sweet and smart girl with lots of energy and potential, loves to cuddle and play, up to date on her vaccines, spayed and potty trained. She has a lot of energy and high prey drive so she requires both physical and mental stimulation. She LOVES to sniff around and loves games where she has to use her nose. Very food motivated! She needs help building her confidence but knows how to sit, wait, lay down, shake, spin, and roll over. I'm looking to rehome her as my ongoing health issues and living situation is preventing me from giving her the care she needs. Active owner who has experience with high energy/reactive/working dogs is a must.

Story
Meet Poppy. Poppy is not even a year old and was pulled from a shelter on her last day without rescue backing. All the shelters are full! Poppy wasn’t thriving in a shelter environment. She was very, very scared. Now that she’s in a home environment she is doing so much better and is happy! She plays well with other dogs and is doing well with potty training, “sit,” and “leave it.” She is fabulous on a leash. Perhaps a heeler by nature, she does not pull at all! She LOVES to play and would be best in a home with a fenced yard. She needs time to romp or she will find her way to mischief! (She likes cards, paper plates and and homework.) She is gentle when she’s mouthy—she just wants to play. And she has a serious bark that may intimidate some. She is protective of her people! She does take a bit of time to trust new people. She may be best in an experienced dog home or in a home with older children. She currently lives with another small dog and four cats!

Story
Introducing Maggie, a beautiful terrier mix looking for her forever home. Although she is estimated to be only slightly over a year old this sweet girl is full of joy. She loves to play, get lots of attention and is always happy. She does have quite a bit of energy so an active family and/ or a fenced in yard is preferred. She does well with other dogs, particularly energetic ones looking for a playmate, but needs to be in a home without cats as they can be a little too tempting to harass. She is currently strong on leash but our foster is working on her training, the world has so much to offer she gets super excited. She is housebroken and crate trained and ready for a loving family to call her own! If a shorter stature bundle of fun is what you are looking for in a dog, look no further!
