Story
Meet Locust, a charming cattle dog mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for adventure. Though he may be a bit shy when you first meet, give him a little time and you'll uncover a loyal companion eager to share in all of life's great adventures. Locust is currently mastering the art of the leash, showing great promise with each day that passes. His intelligence and eagerness to learn make him a delightful student, embodying the keen, alert nature of his breed. Locust's heritage as a cattle dog shines through in his play; he has a unique herding play style that is both fascinating and endearing. Because of this, we believe Locust would thrive best in a home that understands and appreciates the nuances of his breed. A meet and greet with any potential canine siblings is essential to ensure a perfect match, allowing for a harmonious blend of personalities and play styles. Locust's ideal playmate would be one who understands his cues and can engage in his spirited, herding-based games. Given Locust's herding instincts, a home without small children would be best. He is not one to shy away from a loving family, but his instinct to herd might be too much for little ones to understand. Instead, Locust dreams of a home where he can flourish under the care of individuals or a family with older children or teens, who can respect his space as he learns and grows. In return, Locust promises a lifetime of loyalty, cuddles, and countless adventures. If you have the knowledge and heart for a breed as special as Locust, and you're ready to embark on a rewarding journey with this remarkable dog, we encourage you to reach out. Locust is waiting to meet his forever family-could that be you?

Story
Blue Tellico is a lively 15-month-old Blue Heeler boy that is smart and everything you expect in a Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog. Trained by professionals, Blue Tellico showcases impressive agility and quickness with a strong passion to spend lots of time outdoors looking for adventures and romping in the local creek and looking for squirrels to chase. Despite his energetic nature, Tellico is incredibly affectionate and adores cuddle sessions. The ideal home is a setting with space to run and explore in the woods, a creek or water source nearby for him to play in, too.  BlueTellico gets along well with other animals but isn't suited for households with young children because he tries to herd them and the current children are scared of him and his desire to round them up.  He would truly be good on a horse farm or someplace that caters to his outdoor need. We do encourage anyone interested, to be sure you understand the Blue Heeler breed and are willing to be his leader.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Ethel is the name given to this pretty girl and honestly it is NOT a pretty enough name for this Cattle Dog girl.  Look at this black beauty with a bob tail and at just a year old, she weighs a little over 20 pounds and is fully grown.   She is adorable and needs a great home that will allow her to play and learn and be a wonderful hiking and family companion.  Ethel is said to be mostly housebroken but a little reinforcing and scheduling will help make that 100%.  What Ethel needs is a foster home and soon a real family or person will come along.  She is very special!!!  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm
