Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
River was abandoned in the national forest after we had a major ice/snow storm - myself along with animal control went out to try to get him and he was so terrified - after several hours I was able to gain his trust and he jumped into my car. River is a typical heeler - super super smart, loyal but the typical heeler attitude. This boy knows many commands, sit, stay, lay down, roll over, wait - he will not even eat until you tell him he can. His most favorite thing in the whole world to do is to play ball and he will play for hours and hours. He will need an adopter that has had "heeler" experience as they honestly are a breed of their own. But if you have experience with them - you also know how amazing they are. He would make an excellent hiking partner. Absolutely NO cats - and while he does well with dogs his size that are submissive - he would not mind being the only dog and this dog is going to be loyal to you without a doubt. He is estimated to be 4 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, current on heartworm prevention, microchipped and is a very well trained dog. If River seems like the perfect dog for you, please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications - that is the first step in our process. We also require references and a home visit. His adoption fee is $250.00

Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Patches is a young blue heeler/pit bull terrier mix. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is very friendly, loves dogs, and plays with children and cats. While she can be somewhat hyper, she can follow basic commands such as sit, howdy, and lay down. The owner has trained her not to jump on her, but when company comes, she gets excited and will jump. She loves to show affection by licking. The owner unfortunately cannot deal with her hyperness in the house, so she is chained up outside. Her chain reaches all the way to the front porch, and she has a small front yard. She uses the bathroom outside, but when she was smaller, she was kept in the house and she was fully housebroken. When the owner's health permits, Patches goes for walks. She walks well with a training collar. The owner feels that Patches would be happier in an environment where she could have more freedom (e.g., a fenced-in yard), and with people who have more energy to deal with her. She is a very loving dog that just needs the right people. If you are interested in Patches, please email stephanie@heartofthefoothills.org

Story
Dozer's Story Born: October 30, 2025 Projected Adult Size: Under 35 lbs Status: Bottle-Raised • Thriving • Accepting Adoption Applications Now Meet this joyful little miracle! This pup came into the world by accident—his mom, Eggnog, was discovered to be pregnant during a routine spay appointment. After giving birth to a litter of seven, Eggnog unfortunately rejected the babies a few days later. Thankfully, an experienced GreenePets foster stepped up immediately. She has been bottle-raising four of the puppies around the clock, giving them the best possible start to life. These babies are thriving, full of energy, and embracing life with all the enthusiasm you’d expect from confident, well-socialized pups. This baby doggie will likely stay under 35 pounds when fully grown. Well handled lovingly since birth and will make an exceptional companion for a family who’s ready for puppy energy, structure, and lots of affection. Why Apply Now? These pups will be ready for adoption soon, and we expect a lot of interest given their size, temperament, and early handling. Start your application process now to be considered when they’re ready to go home.
