Story
He is a very affectionate dog, very gentle with children, and has never been aggressive. I am giving him away because I am moving; I cannot keep him in the apartment where I plan to relocate. I hope he finds a good owner; he is a dog I was given when he was a puppy, and I have had him for a little over eight months.

Story
Brewer is a sweet and loyal dog. He is extremely intelligent and loves to play fetch. Great with cats, dogs, chickens. Supervision recommended for kids as he's not had extensive time around them. He is a snuggle bug and would probably sleep in the bed if you let him. His personality is high energy and eager to please. He wants to be around his people always and touching you ideally. Even if it's just laying at your feet. He is very obedient and knows more than the average dog in terms of commands. Sit, stay, leave it/ok, lay down, jump, spin, roll and go get it. He would play until his heart exploded and loves to hike, swim, run while you mountain bike, and show off his tricks. He has a great herding instinct that with training could be very useful to a hobby farmer etc. Brewer wants nothing more than to be your huckleberry and ride shotgun in the truck. If you're an outdoors person, Brewer would be your perfect match DOB: 7/30/21 Brewer weighs about 40 lbs. Brewer is neutered and his vaccines are current. If interested in Brewer, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application Brewer is a Community Assist animal. A Community Assist animal is not vetted through Mercy Fund Animal Rescue. This animal is adopted “as is”. Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Patches is a young blue heeler/pit bull terrier mix. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is very friendly, loves dogs, and plays with children and cats. While she can be somewhat hyper, she can follow basic commands such as sit, howdy, and lay down. The owner has trained her not to jump on her, but when company comes, she gets excited and will jump. She loves to show affection by licking. The owner unfortunately cannot deal with her hyperness in the house, so she is chained up outside. Her chain reaches all the way to the front porch, and she has a small front yard. She uses the bathroom outside, but when she was smaller, she was kept in the house and she was fully housebroken. When the owner's health permits, Patches goes for walks. She walks well with a training collar. The owner feels that Patches would be happier in an environment where she could have more freedom (e.g., a fenced-in yard), and with people who have more energy to deal with her. She is a very loving dog that just needs the right people. If you are interested in Patches, please email stephanie@heartofthefoothills.org

Story
Meet Carmel! Carmel is approximately 2 years old and weighs around 42 pounds! This sweet girl came in with her siblings from a difficult situation over a year ago and recently became available for adoption! Carmel is currently paired up with her siblings and does well in the same space as them. She has not been cat tested yet. Carmel is a pretty calm dog who will sometimes get bursts of energy to play with her sister Turtle, her brother Fudge and everyone who walks by her kennel! Carmel would do great with other dogs, but we do strongly recommend doing a dog-to-dog meet and greet here at the shelter before going home together. With other dogs in the home, Carmel does love her food and would need to eat separate from her new siblings! Carmel is already spayed, up to date on vaccines and treatments, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready for her forever home! If you are interested in meeting with Carmel to adopt or to foster, please call us at (828)980-0016 or email us at rutherfordanimalcontrol@heartofthefoothills.org
