Molly is a senior dog that lost her owner some time ago. She was adopted from Second Chance Pet Rescue very young and has had the best life! Sometimes circumstances beyond anyone`s control bring them back to us. She may be a senior but will protect you from strangers!

I知 not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Meet Shane, an adult Blue Heeler mix with a heart full of love. He痴 a sweet dog, always ready to greet you with a friendly wag of his tail. Shane loves to play, and his energy is infectious and boundless. Although he can be a bit shy at first, don稚 let that fool you. Once he warms up to you, he becomes the best friend you could ever ask for. Gentle at heart, Shane interacts with others with grace and kindness. He's also very smart, quickly learning new tricks and commands. Shane isn稚 just a pet; he痴 a companion, a friend, and a confidant. Adopt Shane and bring home not just a pet, but a loyal friend who will brighten your life with his sweetness and charm. I知 not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. Story
When we accepted Alicent and two of her familiy members from a neglect/hoarding case, we knew the dogs entering our care would have been through a lot of suffering. Having spent their entire lives on a chain outside, these survivors were starving for food and attention. They all three were also heartworm positive. Heartbroken but not suprised, we buckled in for the long haul with these girls - our protocol is that all dogs must be heartworm negative before they leave our care! That was 8+ months ago. The difficult part is over now - the months of kennel rest, medications, injections, the waiting game. It's now time for Alicent to find her forever home! Alicent's littermate has gone on to thrive in a home with children of various ages, another dog, and cats, and we think Alicent may do well in a similar environment. Alicent keeps a clean kennel, is improving her leash skills, and is a friendly, happy, and silly dog who loves to play, run, and enjoys her treats. Because she had been kept in isolation for so long, she was confused by the prospect of a doggy friend, but she now plays and bounces with the best of them. Alicent enjoys soft beds, Nylabones, and will chew on a bone for hours. She has an old leg injury, but she does not let it stop her athletic prowess. If you think this affectionate, vivacious, and surviving soul might be a good fit for you and your family, please come and meet her! She's been at FFAA since the beginning of May 2025, and the sooner the better for her to move on to the next chapter of her life.
