Story
Hi there! My name is Jake, and I’m a 9-year-old American Blue Heeler weighing about 50 pounds. I may be a mature guy, but I’ve still got plenty of love, loyalty, and personality to share with my people. I’ve spent my life as part of a family, and that’s where I’m happiest—right in the middle of everything. I live indoors, roam the house freely, and sleep peacefully on my dog bed after a good day of hanging out with my humans. I can stay home by myself for up to eight hours if needed, and since I’m house trained, I know how to keep things tidy while you’re gone. I’ve lived with children, cats, and other dogs before. I’m friendly and gentle with kids and enjoy being around them. With other animals I can be a little more aloof—I’m polite, but I mostly mind my own business. What I really love is my family and being included in whatever they’re doing. I’m a pretty smart guy, too! I know commands like sit, stay, come, lay down, no, and off. I’m affectionate, calm, and independent, but don’t let that fool you—I absolutely love attention. If you start giving me scratches and pets, I warm up very quickly and will happily stay close by your side. I also love playing with my toys and relaxing near my people. One thing that’s important for me is a home with a fenced yard, where I can safely stretch my legs and enjoy some outdoor time before coming back inside to relax with my family. I’m definitely an indoor dog and don’t enjoy being left outside by myself. My family loves me very much and is heartbroken to say goodbye, but their landlord recently changed their lease and they can no longer have pets. They want to find me a home where I’ll be just as loved and included as I’ve always been. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to be part of the family, I might be your perfect match. I promise to bring plenty of love, gentle companionship, and maybe a toy or two to share. I can’t wait to meet my new people.

Story
Hello there, my name is Pixel! I came to Heartland as a stray, so not much is known about my past. My friends here have noted that I love to play fetch, eat snacks, and get full body pets. I can get mouthy when I get excited, which is pretty standard for my breed. I have met a few dogs here at Heartland, and I can be picky about my canine companions. So I will need to meet any potential siblings before going home with you.

Hi, I’m Taco! I’m a handsome man with a smart brain and lots of energy. I love to run, play, and stay active, so I would really enjoy having a job to do or learning fun new things with my future family. Since I’m such a clever guy, I do best when my mind is busy and I have something to focus on. While I’ve been here, I’ve met the staff members and they were awesome—I loved spending time with them! I also got to meet some other dogs and was very excited to say hello. I’m a friendly, curious pup who enjoys being around people and making new friends. One of the quickest ways to my heart is through treats… especially the tasty meat ones! If you’re looking for a smart, active companion who’s ready for adventure and learning new things together, I might just be your guy.

Adoption Fee: $400.00Weight: 52.0 lbsArrival date: 12/20/25Microchip #: 941010005010806Bounty is a super sweet boy who lives up to his name in every way — he’s overflowing with affection, gentle kisses, and happy tail wags. He adores people and is always eager to be near his humans, whether that means playtime, cuddle time, or just following you around to keep you company. He also loves treats so much that you would make his entire day if you gave him some. Bounty does great riding in the car, walking on leash, and staying by your side during an adventure. He has been around children and cats before, but we suggest doing a slow introduction with either anyways. Bounty can find some men a little bit scary, so please keep that in mind when meeting him. He also does well with most dogs, so we recommend doing a meet and greet with him if you have any dogs at home. Bounty will light up your life and everyone else around him! Does he sound like the companion you`ve been wishing for? Come meet him today!
