Story
Beau is a 1.5 year old dog who joined our family a bit over a year ago from Safe Haven. He is gentle with the cat and young children he lives with and sociable/playful with dogs at the dog park. He loves to swim in the Willamette/Mary's River, walk trails, and chase his ball. He can go to his new home with previous adoption paperwork, vet records, toys, bed/hutch, and remaining doses of Simparica Trio. In the fall his paws developed inflammation, but after treatment it cleared up and has not returned. He is due for a wellness visit, and rabies and kennel cough vaccines. He’s affectionate and friendly but has had issues with anxiety, so an owner who can be home frequently and give consistent attention would be ideal. We would love for him to have a yard and/or someone who enjoys daily activity—walks, playtime, and mental enrichment to help him stay active. Rehoming him was a difficult decision and we want to find him a loving, patient family who can commit to him long-term.

Story
My name is Beanie! I am almost 6 years old. I am healthy and happy! I am playful but I have not been taught how to stay down. I learned how to walk on a leash but I'm not sure if I remember how since dad got too sick to walk me. I usually run and play in a big yard with my best buddies, King, a 9 year old German Shepherd and my "cousin" Warf, also a German Shepherd. While I'm inside, I love chewing on my Nyla bone and wrestling with King and Warf. Dad says I am a goofball! I am potty and kennel trained. I sleep in my kennel all night! Dad has to move in with someone else and he can't take us with him. My vet had to muzzle me because I got anxious and growled at her but I did not bite. The Humane Society won't take me because I was muzzled. I am a good dog, I just need someone to love me and let me run and play!
