Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Hi, my name is Olive. I’m the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I love hugs. Like, put my arms around your neck and HUG you. I am super smart and have already learned to potty outside, sit, “kennel up” and much more. My foster mom has 2 kids, another dog and a cat. I’m so good with all of them although I don’t understand why the cat doesn’t want hugs. I’m trying hard to win her over though. Treats and naps are my favorite thing in the whole world. I started off life with my foster mom very skinny and I’m doing my best to fatten up a bit. I’m so excited to find my forever home. I’ll be your best friend! Local Only adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Pretty little Blaze 💜 1 yr old border collie mix. Found abandoned at a park and was very shy and timid. She has been in a foster home getting training and has come so far and is ready to be loved and spoiled in her own home now. She is doing great! She’s a very cool dog. She has all her basic obedience training, she is fully ecollar trained so spends lots of time off leash in our property. She has a great recall on our property. She travels great in the car. She now is able to spend time and play with another dog and loves it. She’s house and crate trained. She’s a high energy working breed but super smart and great with a routine and structure. She’s very loyal to her person. Great with kids. Will chase a cat but won’t hurt them. She will need a place with a big yard or property to run. She just goes and goes. Makes her so happy to burn that young dog energy. Would make a great hiking partner, she is ready for some fun! Foster family has offered a few training sessions for her new family as well. Great young dog that was rescued and now needs to be adopted and loved forever. Blaze will steal your heart. She is a friendly, energetic girl that will thrive in a home as an only dog. She is good with kids, but will chase cats. She has all her basic obedience training. She’s looking for an outdoor adventure buddy. She loves to travel. Born June 2 2021 Weight 55 lbs Carter is a bigger mini Australian Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He has better recall than his brother and is incredibly friendly with people. He’s very food motivated and loves to play catch, run, and explore and especially at the beach, which is basically his happy place. Carter is vocal and expressive, so he’s not shy about sharing his opinions with the world. He’s playful, affectionate, and thrives with activity and engagement. Like Finn, he can be reactive toward other dogs, but with the right patience and structured introductions, he could likely learn to coexist with them. Carter would do best with someone active who enjoys outdoor adventures and doesn’t mind a chatty dog with lots of enthusiasm. Hi, I’m Jackson! Nice to meet you! I’m an 11-year-old Border Collie/Greyhound mix, but I still play like a puppy and have a heart full of loyalty. I weigh about 48 pounds and have the agility and stamina to run, play, and explore. I used to live on a quiet rural property with the best human dad, where we had all the space in the world. After he passed away, life changed. I moved into town with my other human, and while we love each other deeply, the busy streets and close neighbors have been hard on both of us. I have lots of energy and need daily exercise, whether that’s structured walks, running in a safely fenced yard, or other activities that help me burn off both physical and mental energy. When I don’t get enough outlets, my anxiety can increase. I am very afraid of loud noises, and since losing my human dad I’ve developed anxiety, especially at night. Sometimes this makes it hard for me to settle, and I may try to dig in the corner of a room when I’m feeling overwhelmed. With patience, reassurance, and a calm environment, (including anxiety medication!) I do best. On walks, I get overexcited or reactive when I see other dogs, deer, or unexpected things — I bark, pull on the leash and lunge, or try to chase. Because of this, I’m much happier in a quiet, country environment where I don’t need to be on leash as often. In safe, off-leash areas, I relax, decompress, and can share space nicely with other dogs. The good news is my recall is strong, and I reliably come back to my person. I’m very people-focused and love being close to my humans. I get excited to see kids, but because of my strength, energy, and anxiety, I would do best in a home without small children. My human loves me very much, but can no longer give me the space and exercise that help me feel calm and confident. My ideal home is a quiet, rural setting or peaceful countryside property with one or two adults who understand anxiety and want a deeply loyal companion. I’d thrive as the only pet, where I can soak up all the love, constantly be by my person's side and feel secure again. Does this sound like the right match? Please apply!
