John Connor has been waiting for his family since the summer of 2024, when he and his mom were dumped in the country. He's going on 3 years old now, and I genuinely don't understand how this perfect little dude is still here. John Connor is only about 40 lbs, with an adorable face and the cutest little stubby tail. He is great with other dogs, cats, and people and has a happy, playful personality. He loves to run, play, and splish splash in the water. He would make a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys getting outside, going on adventures, or spending lots of time playing in the backyard. After almost two years of waiting, it's beyond time for John Connor to get to do all of those things with a family of his own. Good fit: an active individual or family looking for a fun, friendly, medium-sized companion who loves people, other animals, outdoor adventures, and playing in the water. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), I always take my dogs back. Kickstart was found on 8/14/2026 at Marshal & Berntzen Road in Eugene. She came into the shelter not yet spayed.If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed.
