Meet Mr. Oreo Male Age: 7/23/2022 Weight: 42 pounds Breed: Australian Cattle / Catahoula Leopard mix  Neutered (Fixed): Yes Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Mr. Oreo's life hasn't always been easy. At some point, the family he trusted was no longer able to care for him, and he found himself without the security of a home or the comfort of someone who loved him. Like so many wonderful dogs, he didn't understand why his world had suddenly changed. Yet through it all, Mr. Oreo never stopped believing that kindness still existed. When he arrived at our rescue, it didn't take long for everyone to fall in love with him. His tail wagged the moment someone spoke to him, and despite everything he had lost, he greeted each new day with hope instead of fear. Dogs like Mr. Oreo remind us that love can survive even the hardest chapters of life. Mr. Oreo is a loving, happy boy who simply enjoys being with people. He has a warm, affectionate personality and is happiest when he can be close to his family. Whether it's joining you for a morning walk, relaxing at your feet while you watch television, or greeting you at the door after work with a wagging tail, Mr. Oreo is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like a home. He has reached a wonderful stage in life where he is playful without being overly energetic. He enjoys getting outside for walks and adventures but is equally content spending quiet evenings cuddling with the people he loves. His calm, joyful personality makes him a wonderful companion for families, couples, or individuals looking for a loyal best friend. Mr. Oreo would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily walks and moderate exercise Plenty of love and companionship Positive reinforcement training Mental enrichment through toys and interactive activities Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being Mr. Oreo has already experienced what it feels like to lose a home. Now he's hoping to find a family that will promise him something he's waited his whole life for—a forever home where he'll always be loved, always be safe, and never have to wonder if he's wanted again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like many rescue dogs, Mr. Oreo may need a little time to adjust to a new home, routine, and environment. Even the happiest dogs benefit from patience as they learn where they belong. Mr. Oreo is eager to bond with his family and responds well to kindness, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Continuing his training and daily routine will help him settle in quickly and build confidence. Mr. Oreo will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily walks and regular exercise Continued socialization Mental stimulation through toys and games Consistent routines and clear expectations Patience, encouragement, and love Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and love, Mr. Oreo will quickly show you just how wonderful a rescue dog can be. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, companionship, exercise, and routine veterinary care. Mr. Oreo will need: Routine veterinary care and annual wellness examinations Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection Proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight Daily exercise and mental enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training A safe, stable indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, daily exercise, and plenty of love will help Mr. Oreo continue living a healthy, happy life for many years to come. Mr. Oreo is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Meet Nelson, a handsome, active, and fun-loving guy who is ready to find his perfect adventure partner! Nelson is a certified superstar in our doggy playgroups-he is incredibly dog-friendly, amazingly tolerant of different playstyles, and a master at "reading the room" before offering goofy play bows and rolling around on his back with his pup pals. 🐕‍🦺🐾 Once he bonds with his people, he is pure mush, happily leaning in for deep cuddles and rolling over for sweet belly rubs. ❤️ Because he is a young, athletic boy with a lot of exuberant energy, he can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when he is excited. He is looking for an active, patient home with handlers who can continue to guide his training, and a home where any kids are ages 12 and up to match his big, bouncy personality. 🏡 Nelson is so ready to leave the shelter behind and start his next great chapter by your side! 🌟 Primary Color: White Dapple Weight: 59.375 Age: 1yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
She was adopted from MCAS, and is about 4.5 years old. She was brought in as a stray, though was already microchipped at the time. MCAS attempted contacting the original owner several times without success so she was put up for adoption. I am giving her up as she struggles to go outside in high traffic areas. I had hoped she would eventually adjust, but at this point I feel like she's genuinely unhappy here, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard, or a quieter neighborhood in general. She does perfectly fine inside, and traffic noise doesn't seem to bother her inside at all, nor do random/loud noises in general. Per MCAS, she does well with cats. She's been generally dog neutral to slightly curious when I've taken her outside, and is similar with strangers. She's very friendly towards other people in general and warms up quickly. Her temperament is very sweet and loving, and cuddly when she's feeling confident.

Story
Chester was found on 7/20/2026 at 4075 Aerial Way in Eugene. He came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Meet Pepper Ann ❤️ If you’re looking for a dog who wakes up every day ready to enjoy life, Pepper Ann is your girl. At 1.5 years old and 33 pounds, Pepper Ann is thought to be a cattle dog mix and she has a fun-loving, social personality that makes her a joy to be around. She loves being right in the middle of the action, whether she’s playing with her dog friends, exploring the yard, or following her people around to see what exciting thing might happen next. Pepper Ann and her sister, Twin, came from a difficult situation, but you would never know it by the happiness she brings to every day. She has embraced her second chance with an open heart and an enthusiastic spirit. She absolutely loves other dogs and seems to make friends wherever she goes. If there’s a game of chase happening, Pepper Ann is usually right in the middle of it, happily running, playing, and encouraging everyone else to join the fun. She also enjoys people just as much and is always ready to soak up attention and affection from everyone including kids. Pepper Ann also did wonderfully during her cat introduction, showing calm, respectful manners. Despite her playful nature, Pepper Ann settles nicely after a day of fun and enjoys spending time relaxing with her family. She has a wonderful balance of energy and affection, making her an easy companion for both adventures and quiet evenings at home. Pepper Ann is already showing excellent habits around the house. She keeps her sleeping area clean overnight and is expected to transition into house training with ease. She’s bright, eager to learn, and ready to become a cherished member of her forever family. If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate companion who brings happiness wherever she goes, Pepper Ann may be the perfect addition to your family. Pepper Ann's adoption fee is $295 and she's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet her today!
