Story
Hi, I’m BJ! I'm 12-years-old with a cute face and big ears that turn heads everywhere I go. I know basic commands like sit, lie down, shake, and I (almost always) come when called. I do bark, but only when there’s something worth noting! Thanks to a Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant from Petfinder, my adoption fee is waived, and funds are also provided to reimburse limited post-adoption expenses to help me settle in. WOW! I love toys and playing ball. And guess what? I hardly shed at all! People are always surprised by my youthful energy. I’m very popular at the dog park; I’m cordial with both the dogs and their parents and run to greet all the new entrants. Outside the park, though, I can be leash reactive because I take my job of guarding my person very seriously. Speaking of my person…I think all people belong to me! That’s where I run into trouble in a home with another dog—I get jealous. And don’t even get me started on cats—they really get me revved up! Because of this, my SDRO friends think I’d do best as the only pet. I’m a happy, curious guy who loves being by your side—so watch your step, I’m always nearby! I was bonded to my male owner for my entire life so in the foster homes, I have shown that I defintely prefer male companionship. Staying active keeps me at my best. At night, I sleep great—especially if I get to snuggle up with you. My dream house has a big backyard with lots of room to run. If you are looking for a loving, fun, and devoted best friend, I might be the one for you.

Story
Ok, lets air it ALL out here!! Lester is NOT my given name...... it was a nickname given to me when I was saved at a gas station and attempted to "own" half the rescue crew by.... wait for it.... hump them!! Thus, Lester the **lester was born...But NOW my humping is done, I am neutered and happy and playful and much more respectful of my people! I am a gorgeous boy, and super friendly. I was found be a trucker at a truck stop- looking for love in all the wrong places :( BUT, he contacted the rescue who swooped down and saved me!! And I have been living the LIFE ever since :0 However, my life is NOT complete without my OWN family! No one really knows how i ended up at the truck stop, but you should know that I was loyal til the end..... waited and watched for my family at all hours of the day and night.... AND I will be that loyal to YOU and YOUR FAMILY! so adopt me so I don't have to watch and wait anymore ;D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Howdy, the name's Leonard! They say my cowboy casanova days are over. There I was out on the interstate herding up the big metal cows running super fast, having a strange but interesting time with my bros. When out of nowhere a person hopped out of their car and wrangled us up. I did appreciate getting out of the heat but who's gonna herd those metal cows man! Anyway here's the deal: I am the last of 3 pups. I'm looking to be adopted soon! I'm social, friendly, eager to please, and excited to get out into the world! My pals and I were found dumped on the side of the road in bad condition but we are so lucky to have gotten a second chance at life! Now we're healthy, strong and the best pups on the farm! I am learning how to walk well on a leash so I don't pull my future adopters all around town. I love squeaky toys! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Phoebe – Your Loyal, Loving, and Fiercely Devoted Companion! Phoebe is about 3 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventions. She’s had a bit of tough luck in the past—not because she’s done anything wrong, but because she hasn’t yet found her perfect match. Much like anyone who's been through a rough breakup, Phoebe just needs someone who truly understands her heart. She’s a classic Cattle Dog—smart, strong-willed, and deeply loyal. She’s "a lot of dog" in the best possible way and thrives with structure, routine, and a person who gets her driven, loving nature. If you’re experienced with the breed, you’ll see what a total gem she is. Phoebe may take a couple of days to settle into new surroundings—she can be a little tense at first. But once she learns the rhythm of her new home, she blossoms into the best girl. In her foster home, she’s been fantastic with kids and has settled beautifully into a busy household. She takes her yard patrol duties seriously and loves a good job to do. When it’s time to relax? Bring on the belly rubs! She melts with affection and adores being loved on. She did lose a few teeth in a previous home, but it hasn’t affected her one bit—she happily munches dry kibble like a pro. Phoebe is ready for someone who truly sees her. If you're a Cattle Dog-savvy human ready for a fiercely loyal companion, this girl is waiting to make your heart her home. Go ahead and submit an adoption application for her now! $200 Local Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
