Story
Marci was adopted from a farm who had a litter in South Carolina near Savannah, Ga. She grew up playing in Forsyth park and walking the streets of Savannah. She is a sweet dog, extremely affectionate and loving and one of the best dogs I have ever had. She knows all basic commands, is potty trained, can take long walks, and lives for playing fetch. She thrives in a house that wants to play but she is also a big cuddle bug and likes to sleep in the bed with her people. She has a personality too that is quirky and has given our family loads of laughs and good memories with her antics. If you adopt her you will be adopting a friend for life. Sadly, my older dog can not get along with her, and why we have to rehome her. However, she is good with other dogs when introduced correctly. She has had to have two surgeries due to injuries to her legs, and from a bad surgery has bladder issues that are easily managed by hormone tablets. Otherwise she is a healthy and active dog

Rusty has the most loving eyes and he will steal your heart in an instant. He loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. He also loves children, but has not recently been tested with cats.  Rusty is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387.  ##1772132##

Story
My name is Julianna and I am a 3 year old girl that needs a better life and quickly if possible. I am looking for a foster or forever home.   I have lived my whole life in an outdoor Pen with little or no attention from my very senior owner.  I have been getting visits from a  kind neighbor who started 6 months ago taking me out of the pen during the day from time to time and exposing me to the world outside my kennel.  I am used to the chickens now, the cats, the cows and the goats.  I have recently been introduced to other dogs for the first time and I am kind of shy and timid around them.   I really know there is a better life out there and since I am a full Heeler, they say that I am truly smart and a devoted dog to someone that will love me back.   I am good on a leash and I am oh so curious.   Someone took me to PetSmart yesterday and I met a trainer there.  He was very impressed and said that with little effort, I can be a very confident and amazing dog for someone that loves the active herding breed dog that has a high IQ and focus.  I just want to live inside with someone that loves me and lets me sleep there at their feet.  I will be the best dog you ever owned if you bring me home and give me a chance.   I am ready and I am hoping that this Christmas I get to watch the twinkling lights and maybe have a stocking filled with toys and treats just for me.  It would be my very first ever Christmas that is nice.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell them where you live….City and State.   Critter Cavalry has transport northward and they can put me on the van and bring me northward.   How nice would that be for me and you!????? PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 21, 2024, 10:27 pm

Story
My name is Xena and I am a pretty little Cattle Dog mix pup that is 5 months old and weighing 33 pounds on the way to being a 50 pound adult.  This pretty girl has had a lot of time with her foster mom teaching her manners, commands and creating a very loving and snuggly pup.  This girl came in as a stray that no one claimed nor seemed to care about.  Critter Cavalry Rescue has watched her gain confidence as a puppy, learn how to be 100% potty trained, crate trained and how to make herself fit in with other dogs and cats in a home lifestyle environment.   This pretty girl is a Cattle Dog mix and if you know about the breed you know they are devoted companions to their family and owner and they are wicked SMART!   They don’t miss a trick and they learn at warp speed whatever you care to teach them.   This girl is ready to go NOW….are you ready for her intelligence, love and her being yours for the next 15 years.   These dogs live a long life that leaves you with a warm and deep memory of the good things that you feel when you own this kind of breed.  She would benefit from a fenced yard as she will love hanging out in the yard enjoying and soaking up the great outdoors.  Hiking, outdoor events to attend, jogs or walks will be the lifestyle that this girl will embrace with you.  Take her anywhere…. Rides in the car, visits to family and enrolling her in some wonderful agility events or classes.  She would excel at everything.   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in knowing more about her and adopting.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Momma Bear is a beautiful girl that is truly a character and so colorful in every way.  She is 3 years old and weighs 50 pounds with beautiful markings and those fabulous standup ears that you love on a Heeler breed.  This girl loves to try and catch running water with her mouth and would certainly love to run under the sprinkler in the summer.  She is a terrific car rider and she is so good inside the house and is potty trained.  She is very outgoing and loves all people she meets.  Momma Bear is every ounce a Heeler in actions and intelligence.  The Heeler breed is one of the smartest dogs on the planet.  They are focused in life and they are the quickest learners when you teach them tricks or manners.  This girl is losing her home only because her parents are seniors and have fallen into bad health.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping this couple rehome their 5 young dogs.  This girl is going to be a treasure for someone that understands and appreciates her wonderful dog personality.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested. Story
Willow Whisper is just the sweetest Cattle Dog girl that is a wonderfully well-mannered and easy going 4 year old that weighs 50 pounds.  She lost her home when her owner was turned out of the place he lived and he had to move in with other people that would not allow him to take his dogs.  Willow Whisper has joined a foster mom and her other dog and has fit in like she always has lived there.  She is eager to please and loves to be right next to you. She is not afraid to ask for pets and definitely leans into your hand when you give her little positive affirmation pats on the head.  The Cattle Dog breed is devoted and loving and very smart and this is a curious girl who loves to go on walks and take her time to sniff all the surroundings. She is uber smart and knows basic commands,  is housebroken and happily goes into a crate without a fuss. We loves and is super friendly with other dogs and easily plays with any toys you have laying around.  Willow Whisper’s  bubbly personality is such a positive to be around and she is very moderate with her energy. She is comfy on a couch but can also chase a toy down a hallway. Don’t miss out on this special girl who has nothing but great attributes to bring to your life and family.   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in Willow Whisper. Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Meet Miss Princess!  This 8 year old 30 lbs gem had a horrible life prior to joining the Cavalry.  She was part of a hoarding case where the family had way too many dogs and could not properly take care of them.  Because of this Princess and her doggie family ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter.  She was a thin has could be and very weak.  Miss Cheryl and her mom Ruth felt sorry for her and decided to rescue her.  An immediate trip to the vet was scheduled.  Princess was diagnosed with long term untreated diabetes.  This was the reason she was so thin.  What a sham that no one noticed the symptoms but them.  Poor Princess almost died.  Her vet was truly amazed that she lived.  Her diabetes is now under control and she has gained weight.  Princess is one of the sweetest dogs ever.  She is a true love bug and so very grateful for the love and care she has received.  She is thriving and would make someone a great pet.  Unfortunately as a result of the diabetes Princess has limited vision.  She is amazing though.  After she gets the 'lay of the land' you would never know it.  She does not bump into things and can navigate stairs up and down.  It truly is amazing.  She is a very loving dog who just wants to be with her people.  If you want a canine shadow then she is the one for you.  Despite her lack of vision, Princess enjoys walking and you would never know her sight is limited.  She is a dog that you could take any where.  Princess loves to ride in the car an is always up for a trip just about any where.  She has been on several with her foster family.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  She is also trained to sit patiently snacking on a baby carrot when it is shot time.  The distraction of the carrot does the trick so giving the insulin shot is not a problem.  She is good with other dogs her size and age but not young rambunctious puppies or dogs.  She would also be fine as an only dog.  She would be happy to soak up all the attention.  If you would like to give a home to a wonderful special needs dog, Princess is the one for you.  To be considered for her forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  February 21, 2024, 10:27 pm
