Story
Huck is a sweet playful and outgoing boy who had a lot of changes recently. His owners are getting divorced and moving. Huck has been great with kids, other dogs, cattle, goats, a horse, and cats! He is going through a lot and he is not currently enjoying being around a new to him 3 year old. The loud noises and stomping scare him, but did not before all the big changes. I’d recommend a household without toddlers. He loves being near someone and enjoys playing fetch. He is very sweet, house broken, loves car rides, and he is crate trained. Would prefer to rehome him somewhere with a yard. He will come with his crate, two in great shape beds, bowls and feeding mat, and several toys.

Story
We adopted Emmy in 2023 as a puppy. She is the sweetest girl. She has a gentle, goofy, cuddly personality. We need to re-home her because our busy schedules between work and our four kids’ sports/activities make it so Emmy has to be in her kennel more than not. We would love to see her go to a loving family that has more quality time to give her. We are also re-homing her adorable best friend, River—1.5 year old female Border Collie, Blue Heeler, Australian Shepard mix.

Australian Cattle Dog

Female, Adult
Battle Ground, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
MJ is approximately 4 1/2 years old, spayed and weighs around 38 pounds. She is a mixed breed, possible cattle dog/lab mix. She has lived with a family of two younger kids (now aged 6 and 9) since she was nine months old. She is very sweet and playful. She likes to snuggle and does well on car rides. She loves to go for walks, hikes, and play fetch, and will often go on longer runs. She is house trained and likes to sleep in her crate at night. She is able to be on her own for several hours as her current owners work outside the home, and she does not seem to have separation anxiety. She has completed basic obedience training. Mary Jane is a nervous dog when it comes to loud noises (fireworks, thunder) and she takes time to warm up to new people and new dogs. She has gone to other homes for dog sitting, with other dogs present, and has done just fine after taking a few minutes to get comfortable. She has become territorial (aggressive barking, some jumping) in and near her house which has become a problem due to kids' friends stopping by and a neighborhood park across the street. Once she gets to know the house guests she is usually fine, but it takes time and some active steps to get there. Owners have done several in-home trainer lessons but do not have the time and focus that MJ deserves. She would probably do okay with another dog(s) in the home and actually may enjoy it. She is unknown with cats. Although she has done great with the kids in her current home, a home with no young kids would be ideal unless extra time is spent for her to adjust. We are happy to pay for an in-home private lesson with a dog trainer to help the transition to a new home. We are sad for her to go but are hoping she finds a home that can give her the time and attention she deserves. Please fill out an application at sccpets.com (at no cost or obligation to you). Her adoption donation is $200.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.October 24, 2025, 5:59 pm
