Story
Bell is 8 years old and 26 lbs. The wonderful folks who saved her now need for someone to give her that only child love that she deserves. She is a sweet, loyal dog who will follow you around the house and curl up at your feet. She doesn’t get along with the pets in the foster home. Bell kinda wants all of the attention! She could adjust to sharing with another dog. She would prefer NO young children or cats in her home. She had a dental last May and is up to date on all of her shots and is spayed. She takes Fluoxetine to help with 'behavioral issues' (needs more exercise and stimulation, she's a herding dog...). Fill out an application at sccpets.com. Bell's adoption donation is $100.April 24, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
Beanie is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler). She’s spayed and has all of her shots. She’s housetrained but does not get along with cats! She’s 50 lbs. These are the words of the owner/foster: Beanie is the sweetest cuddle bug! She loves hiking, camping, and being out in nature as well as being by your side and lounging on the couch. Beanie entertains herself and loves to throw her toys around, and also like to get outside and run! Beanie is well trained and aims to please - she always comes when called, knows all her basic manners and is house trained. She does great with kids and at the dog park, but does not like cats or skateboards. Beanie is gentle, shy, extremely submissive, and has some anxiety in new situations. She would do best as the only dog in a home or in a home with a really chill male dog. If you’re interested in adopting Beanie and giving this beautiful animal a forever home or have questions for owner, please fill out an application at sccpets.com (at no cost or obligation to you) Beanie's adoption donation is $200.April 24, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
Violet is is an 8 year old castle dog/lab mix. She’s about 45 pounds, all black with a white key shape on her chest and big ears. She’s a sweetheart. Owner says he acquired her from a family member who was going to take her to the pound. She’s a wonderful dog. She gets along with cats and other dogs. It took her a couple days to get along when introduced to owners male dog but now they’re great. Owner loves her but taking her in was an emotional and ethical decision for him at the time. Having three large dogs along with farm animals and kids and all the rest, maybe not the best decision for him. Now you could be fortunate enough to have such a sweet canine companion in your life. You too are given an opportunity to be loved by this special girl Violet. Maybe you don’t already have two other dogs she has to share you with. Maybe you’re looking for a senior dog for the very purpose of giving her the easiest best last years of her life. If that’s you and you’re interested in adopting Violet please fill out an application at sccpets.com (with no cost or obligation to you). Her adoption donation is $145.April 24, 2024, 6:30 pm

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm a little shy but I love people and being petted. I enjoy playing with dogs, toys and chasing squirrels. I also enjoy looking out the window and relaxing. I'm still young and learning. My foster mom says I'm a very smart boy.I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home! If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them. My adoption fee is $50 I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's required I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm recommended with kids older than 10 and prefer to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give. Primary Color: Black Weight: 60 Age: 7yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Lago is a rescue from a kill shelter in California. He just arrived here and he is a total sweetheart, a tat shy for the first 10 minutes but warms up super quickly and became a fast Velcro dog. What a great dog who was almost euthanized because of no space in overcrowded shelters. He will make someone very very happy to be their companion. Please call us if you’re interested and adopting him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Story
Hi, I am Francesco. I am Rafaelo's brother.  A kind woman rescued both of us from the street of Mexicali on a rainy night. Although I am a good boy, I am shy and it takes me a while to trust humans.  I will need a family who is willing to be patient with me and love me unconditionally.

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/AL4a5fgHth4 Coral is an absolutely stunning young red heeler who weighs 30 lbs. She found herself in remote rural shelter with very limited space and was scheduled to be euthanized. We couldn't let that happen so we got her out. She is a typical heeler with all the typical characteristics. Very smart, super friendly, active, and happy. Great with other dogs and with cats. Of course we can't guarantee that she is a full red heeler but she sure looks like one! She is currently in Oklahoma where she was rescued, but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up at one of our transport locations below. If things don't work for out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will come back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp x 2, lepto x 2, dewormed, heartworm tested (negative), on monthly heartworm prevention, on monthly flea and tick prevention. Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

She has the most stunning pattern with red ticking on her legs and paws and black ticking as well as solid patches on her body and then solid red and black on her face. She is absolutely beautiful. She loves giving kisses, she likes water, running around, playing with dogs and she has also not had any issues with the cats. She was rescued right before a big freeze after being a dumped at someone's house who wouldn't take her in so she was living outside fending for herself. Be sure to check out the videos above to see how sweet she is. She is currently in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of the transport locations.
