Story
Meet Hershey, a two-and-a-half-year-old Cattle Dog/Kelpie mix weighing around 65 pounds.Hershey is pure joy on four legs! This friendly, outgoing boy loves everyone he meets and can turn any moment into a celebration with his wiggly body and goofy antics. He’s enthusiastic, playful, and always ready for attention—especially if it comes with pets, scratches, or belly rubs.Hershey did have his tail docked due to “happy tail,” but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He still wiggles with excitement for every person, every toy, and every new adventure. His happiness is truly contagious! He has also met other dogs while with us and done very well, enjoying playing with them and doing zoomies. This chocolate-colored bundle of fun is full of energy, love, and silly charm. He already knows “sit” and “down,” is very treat-motivated, and is both smart and eager to keep learning. With his zest for life, he’d thrive in a home that can give him plenty of playtime, interaction, and continued positive training.Hershey’s mission in life is simple: make you laugh, soak up your love, and bring nonstop happiness to your days. Story
Meet Precious, a three-and-a-half-year-old Cattle Dog/Pit mix weighing 60 pounds. She came to us as an owner surrender due to her previous family going through personal challenges, and she’s now looking for a stable, loving home where she can truly settle in and thrive.Precious is a lovely medium-sized dog with a soft, friendly personality. She is currently a bit on the chunky side and would benefit from a healthy diet and regular activity to help her feel her best. The good news is she is food motivated, which makes her an excellent candidate for continued training and positive reinforcement as she works toward her fitness goals. She already knows several commands including “sit,” “down,” and even “roll over,” showing off both her intelligence and her willingness to engage with people. Precious is also great on leash, making walks enjoyable and easygoing — she’s happy to stroll alongside her person and take in the world at a relaxed pace. One of her most unique and beautiful features is a striking blue fleck in one of her eyes, adding to her gentle, soulful expression. She has a calm, good-natured temperament and is described as a “good girl” through and through.Precious also does well with other dogs, making her a nice option for a home with existing canine companions, provided they are a good match. She seems to enjoy companionship and would likely thrive in a home where she can feel included, loved, and part of the family. With her sweet nature, trainable mind, and affectionate personality, Precious is ready to be someone’s loyal companion and cherished best friend. This pet is available for adoption on 5.8.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Callie is a sweet girl who gets along with other dogs. She is a talker. When she chases she barks with joy. She does love hugs and jumping up. Callie did have a case of happy tail that caused her tail to get an infection, so she is on antibiotics. Would have to be very careful when kenneling her because she could injure it again. would prefer not to be mothered, does better with male dogs

Maddie`s adoption fee has been donated in full!Meet Maddie, a two-year-old Staffie/Cattle Dog mix weighing 55 pounds. Maddie is a happy, high-energy girl who is always ready for fun! She loves her toys and could happily spend the day playing—especially if there’s a good game of tug-of-war involved. If you’re looking for a playful companion who will keep you laughing and moving, Maddie is your girl. She’s very treat-oriented and eager to engage, which will make training a rewarding experience for both of you. Maddie could use some help polishing her manners, as she can be a bit mouthy when she gets excited—but with consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she has so much potential to shine.Maddie is curious about the world around her and shows a lot of interest in birds, so she would likely do best in a home without chickens or small livestock. With her joyful spirit and zest for life, Maddie is ready to find an active home that will channel her energy into play, learning, and adventure.
