History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! A Note from the Foster: Meet Mandy! She is the absolute sweetest pup. Mandy is super smart, energetic, loves people, kids & other dogs. Mandy loves to play. She would do best in a house with energy and another dog to play with. She just learned how to "fetch"! Mandy would be a great agility or flyball dog. Mandy has a ton of energy, she is fast, and loves to jump. Mandy is 95% potty trained, sometimes just gets too excited and forgets to let me know she needs to go outside! We are working on ringing a bell to let me know she needs to go out. We have worked really hard on recall; Mandy will stop what she's doing and run to me when I call her name! We are currently working on leash training, heel, sit and touch. Mandy is in a crate when we are not home. Mandy is so eager to please! We have been bringing Mandy to outdoor festivals, outdoor patios at our fav restaurants and she does really well! Mandy just wants to join in ALL the fun and be part of the gang!

Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: This one-year-old sweetheart is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. With his soulful eyes and soft white coat, Jax will steal your heart in seconds. He loves to play outside, chase toys, and explore. When it’s cuddle time, he melts right into you, resting his head and all his weight on your lap like the gentle, loving boy he is. Jax is great with other dogs, cats, and kids. He currently lives with children ages four, six, and seven and is very sweet and gentle with them. He’s doing wonderfully with potty training and continues to learn his name, especially when treats are involved. He’s also working on his kennel training and does best when he can see his people nearby. Healthy, affectionate, and full of life, Jax is ready to find his forever family. He’s a happy pup who will bring love, laughter, and loyalty to his new home. Whoever brings Jax home will gain a best friend for life. 🐾❤️

A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! A Note from the Foster: Arthur has really made me only want to foster senior dogs! He is an 8 year old cattle dog mix that has gone through more than any animal should. His previous owner passed away and Arthur arrives from Texas looking for a second chance. For such a sad past, you would never know Arthur has gone through hard times. Arthur has fit into our home and life seamlessly. He is incredibly chill and relaxed when you want him to be, and ready for adventure and playtime whenever you are! He loves a good walk and fetch. He also likes to train and is very food motivated, so old dogs can definitely learn new tricks! He is still working on crate training (he barks when left alone right now) but will sleep on his bed the entire time I’m gone. He has lived with other dogs before and does well, but as he has a higher prey drive, I’m not sure about cats. He loves his people and will settle in pressed against you as soon as you sit down. Who is ready to give Arthur a second chance?

Story
History: Jackie is a stunning young cattle dog mix who was adopted and returned to rescue due to not being a fit for cats in the home. She loves other dogs and would thrive with another dog in the home to be play with. She is a loving girl who hopes to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi, I'm Jackie! I'm a smart, incredibly sweet, very high energy girl looking for the perfect forever home. I was at Coco's previously and adopted, but I couldn't get along with the resident cat, so I'm back looking for a cat-free and small animal free home. I LOVE other dogs and would do great in a home where I have a playmate. I would also do well with children if they are a little older and can help remind me not to jump up on them. I still have a lot of puppy in me and am working on my manners. Jumping up and pulling on the leash while being walked are the things I am currently working on. I'm so smart and very gentle hearted (except to cats and squirrel's). With exercise and consistent training my foster mom is positive I'll the best dog. I'm already doing great with potty training, sleeping through the night in my crate and most commands (sit, wait, give). Once I've had enough exercise I love napping and a good snuggle on the couch. I'll curl right up with you and give you as much love as you want. What I need to be a good dog for you is a solid 2-3 mile walk in the morning, some fetch time and maybe second walk every day. Firm but gentle reminders not to jump up are helpful, but what I want most is your praise, belly rubs and love.

Story
Maynard is an almost 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who just wants to hang! Weighing about 50 pounds, he’s incredibly social and genuinely loves meeting new people, greeting strangers like old friends who just haven’t gotten enough hugs yet. When he first arrived to his foster home, he warmed up immediately in full cuddle buddy mode. Maynard is fully house-trained, happily sticking to a potty routine and sleeping in his crate peacefully for 8–9 hours. He doesn’t love being left alone, but with a frozen treat and calming music, he settles just fine. He does best in a home where someone is around often and can give him the affection and closeness he craves. Due to his noise level, he cannot live in homes with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes).Maynard LOVES his walks more than just about anything, and two short walks a day are all he needs to stay happy. He also has a hilarious independent streak and can fully entertain himself with strong chew toys, rolling on the couch, and playing solo games of catch. With other dogs, Maynard is curious and social. If he spots a dog across the street, he may pause and bark, but overall he’s friendly and interested rather than reactive. He does not have experience with cats so a proper introduction would be needed. Around kids, he has done well with a visiting 12-year-old.Maynard is easy-to-love and would love being part of a family. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing. *If you have emailed using an “Apple ID” or other relay system you will Not recieve a response as they block Petfinder. **All emails are answered within 24 hours. PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL!! If you have not received a response in 24 hours, please email again! This dog is fostered near Marine on St Croix, MN. Meg is a mixed puppy born 7-4-25. We were told that Mom is a heeler and dad is heeler / Aussie. But it looks like a Border Collie may have snuck in the mix! She currently weighs 22-25 pounds. She will likely be around 40-45 pounds as an adult. Some of the siblings were sold by the breeder to a pet store. Dane, Evie, Opal and Meg were “too old” to be sold and were surrendered to rescue. Meg likes other dog friends. She has not met cats. She’s just a baby so someone could intro her to one. She lives with elementary age kids. Meg is learning about toys and having fun. She is doing well on house or crate training. This is something her new family will need to continue to work on. She would do great in a basic training class to learn good things with a new family too. A little time and she is going to be your very best friend. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to the dogs location in MN to meet.* *Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal.
