Story
Dixie-Dior is such a joy. She loves exploring the outdoors and loves people and even other pets. She’s a bundle of energy, very intelligent but also loooooves affection and snuggle time. She will take up all the room on your bed. Although the crate is not her favorite, so will go directly there for some treats. She is partially house trained and will be an amazing family dog for someone who has time to fully train her. We purchased Dixie from our local humane society after our 13 yr old Yorkie passed away and our 3 yr old Puggle began to show signs of depression. It’s been A LOT of work to get these two to appreciate each other. Unfortunately it’s not working out as planned. Being a biz owner and sole provider for my 3 children- it’s like 3 full times jobs and trying to train a puppy and a very stubborn 3 year old puggle to get along is like a 4th job. I adore Dixie and this is not her fault, but I have to choose what’s going to be best for both of our wellbeing

Story
Harvey is an energetic, intelligent Good Boy looking for a home that can give him the time and attention he needs. He would do best in a home with plenty of stimulation and opportunities for exercise. He loves pretty much all living creatures but lacks an understanding that not everyone or everything loves him back. He has lived with other dogs in the past, currently lives with a cat, and has plenty of experience with children. He has never instigated any conflict but will defend himself or others if he perceives any threats (luckily he gives plenty of warning, though). I took over Harvey's care full-time about six months ago, but I have known him since he was a puppy when my family adopted him about five years ago. He is house trained and very perceptive to vocal commands. He is familiar with plenty and is highly trainable if you need to add more or adapt. He learns and responds well to routines. He just needs more attention that I can give.

Story
In the famous words of Lady Gaga, she was born this way! Roo was born with deformities in her front legs. But that has never stopped her from being the friendly, playful, girl that she is. Roo is about 2 years old, 23lbs, spayed & up to date on her vaccines. We are actively working with getting Roo acquainted with prosthetics for her front legs to reduce the wear on her front joints. She will need an adopter that is extra dedicated to her special needs & continue working with her on her prosthetics.DATCP# 483538

Story
Cody is an adorable 3 month old mixed breed male pup who weighs about 15 pounds. He has a beautiful spotted coat and the sweetest face! Cody loves people of all ages and other dogs. He has been working hard on his potty and crate training, but his new family should be prepared to do additional training in these areas, as his routine in your home will be very different than what he is used to in a foster home in Texas. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. Cody's adoption fee will contribute to our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the Midwest. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday April 5th, and will be available for to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption. Should you find that he is not a good fit for your family upon meeting, the deposit is refundable.  Please go to our website, http://www.hoovershausealldogrescue.com/ and complete the adoption application. MUST BE 24 YEARS TO ADOPT!! Once your application is approved, the WI manager will call you to discuss adoption, answer questions and set up a private meet and greet if you are interested. This process can take up to 7 days. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.hoovershausealldogrescue.com EVERY DOG IS UP TO DATE ON VACCINES FOR THEIR AGE.                                           RABIES VACCINE IF OLD ENOUGH.  SPAYED OR NEUTERED (regardless of age) NO EXCEPTIONS HEARTWORM and FLEA/TICK PREVENTATIVE MICROCHIPPED CERTIFIED VETERINARIAN INSPECTION CERTIFICATE ***WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*** ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Rozzlo is a 1 year old, Red Heeler and Shepherd mix  Rozzlo and his litter mates were surrendered to the shelter at just 1 month old. He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. MY ADOPTION FEE is $125.00 and I am only available in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area We thank you for ADOPTING A HOOVERS HAUSE RESCUE DOG..... every dog adopted allows us to open our homes to save another! Story
Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 3/12/2024 Dog Name: Floyd Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Aussie Mix Approximate Age: 1 year old Approximate Weight: 40-45 lbs. Description: Floyd is a playful boy with a heart of gold! He plays well with all dogs and loves everyone he meets! He has the cutest fluffy ears and big smile! You will fall in love when you meet him!  He's picking up on potty training extremely fast! He learned to sit, lay down and come already and he takes treats gently. At first he was a little hesitant of full staircases, but he's getting better with those too! He walks fairly well on a leash, we have no doubt he will walk great on a leash with some more training. Floyd will cry for 10 minutes after he's put in the crate for the evening, but then he sleeps through the night. He would happily snuggle his humans all day if you'd let him!  Adoption Fee: $500.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. April 10, 2024, 10:38 pm
