Story
Dixie-Dior is such a joy. She loves exploring the outdoors and loves people and even other pets. She’s a bundle of energy, very intelligent but also loooooves affection and snuggle time. She will take up all the room on your bed. Although the crate is not her favorite, so will go directly there for some treats. She is partially house trained and will be an amazing family dog for someone who has time to fully train her. We purchased Dixie from our local humane society after our 13 yr old Yorkie passed away and our 3 yr old Puggle began to show signs of depression. It’s been A LOT of work to get these two to appreciate each other. Unfortunately it’s not working out as planned. Being a biz owner and sole provider for my 3 children- it’s like 3 full times jobs and trying to train a puppy and a very stubborn 3 year old puggle to get along is like a 4th job. I adore Dixie and this is not her fault, but I have to choose what’s going to be best for both of our wellbeing

Story
Harvey is an energetic, intelligent Good Boy looking for a home that can give him the time and attention he needs. He would do best in a home with plenty of stimulation and opportunities for exercise. He loves pretty much all living creatures but lacks an understanding that not everyone or everything loves him back. He has lived with other dogs in the past, currently lives with a cat, and has plenty of experience with children. He has never instigated any conflict but will defend himself or others if he perceives any threats (luckily he gives plenty of warning, though). I took over Harvey's care full-time about six months ago, but I have known him since he was a puppy when my family adopted him about five years ago. He is house trained and very perceptive to vocal commands. He is familiar with plenty and is highly trainable if you need to add more or adapt. He learns and responds well to routines. He just needs more attention that I can give.

Story
In the famous words of Lady Gaga, she was born this way! Roo was born with deformities in her front legs. But that has never stopped her from being the friendly, playful, girl that she is. Roo is about 2 years old, 23lbs, spayed & up to date on her vaccines. We are actively working with getting Roo acquainted with prosthetics for her front legs to reduce the wear on her front joints. She will need an adopter that is extra dedicated to her special needs & continue working with her on her prosthetics.DATCP# 483538

Story
Introducing Chambord! She’s a very easy going 6-year-old Red Heeler mix with a sweet and kind personality. Known for her laid-back and chill demeanor, Chambord is happiest lounging around and enjoying the simple pleasures of life, like resting on the soft couch or rolling in the fluffy grass (or snow, if she must.). She's a pro at potty training and always keeps her crate tidy. Chambord does well with other dogs and we expect kids would be welcome as well. We do not have cats to test her with, so we would recommend cautious and supervised interactions. There's one critter we know she's not too fond of though – the mysterious raccoon that has taken up residence under the deck. Despite her distaste for the raccoon, Chambord remains a lovable companion with a gentle spirit that's always happy to greet her people at the door. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home. If you’re interested in adopting Chambord, please complete an application at www.sandipaws.org.Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Rozzlo is a 1 year old, Red Heeler and Shepherd mix  Rozzlo and his litter mates were surrendered to the shelter at just 1 month old. He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. MY ADOPTION FEE is $125.00 and I am only available in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area We thank you for ADOPTING A HOOVERS HAUSE RESCUE DOG..... every dog adopted allows us to open our homes to save another!
