All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . Story
Blossom is a 4 year old cattle dog mix from Oklahoma. She's a total sweetheart with a great smile who thinks she's a lap dog! She completed heartworm treatment and gained a little extra weight during her recovery, her ideal weight is around 45 pounds, so she's working on getting healthy with her foster mom's help. Blossom chills on car rides and is trusted without a crate in her foster home. She seems to be completely housebroken, walks great on a leash, is medium to low energy, and is dog & kid friendly (cats unknown at this time but we can test if needed). Blossom is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines. If you're looking to add a sweet, loving shadow to your life- apply for Blossom! Story
Hi, I’m Zero! I found myself at the shelter because the home I was in became a little too busy for me when a very young child joined the mix. I do best with older kids who understand giving me space and letting me come to them on my own terms. I’ve lived with both dogs and cats before and did well with them, so I’m comfortable sharing my space with other furry friends. I’m a high-energy, playful guy who loves to move, have fun, and enjoy life — but I also know how to settle down and get cozy on the couch when it’s time to relax. I can be unsure about strangers at first and may need a little time to warm up. Once I do, though, I’m incredibly loyal and form strong bonds with my people. I’m looking for a patient, understanding home that will give me consistency, outlets for my energy, and the chance to build trust at my own pace. If you’re someone who values loyalty, enjoys playtime just as much as downtime, and understands that good things take time, I might be your perfect match! Story
Hi, I'm Hank! I'm a young Blue Heeler puppy who came in as a stray, but I'm making up for that rough start with a whole lot of love and personality. I'm sweet, snuggly, playful, and full of that classic heeler energy and enthusiasm. I love being busy, having fun, and then crashing hard for cuddle time. I do great with kids and get along well with other dogs, too. I'm curious, smart, and always ready for my next adventure. Since I'm still a puppy, I'm learning my manners and what it means to be the best boy I can be. Because I'm a Blue Heeler, I'm looking for a home that understands my breed-one that can give me the mental stimulation, exercise, training, and structure I need to thrive. In return, you'll get an incredibly loyal, intelligent, and loving companion. If you're ready for a fun, devoted puppy who will keep you on your toes and steal your heart, I'm your guy!
