Lucy Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin
Lucy is currently with our rescue partners in Arkansas and is available for foster or adoption for
our transport on 2/14/26 to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. She must have a foster or
adopter committed in order to secure her spot on the transport.
Meet Lucy
Lucy’s story is one of second chances. She came from the Arkansas kill shelter system and
was fortunate enough to make it out and into a foster home, where she’s been showing
everyone just how much potential she has.
Lucy is an 8-month-old, medium-energy pup weighing around 35–40 lbs, and we suspect she
may have some cattle dog traits. She is smart, alert, and eager to learn. Lucy does well with
other dogs and enjoys being part of a pack. She rides exceptionally well in the car and travels
calmly in her crate, even on longer trips like rides to the lake.
She is crate trained and currently working on all the basics, including potty training, leash skills,
and household manners. Lucy knows her commands and listens especially well with confident,
consistent leadership. With continued structure and positive reinforcement, she will thrive.
Lucy would do best in a home that enjoys engaging with their dog, continuing her training, and
helping her grow into the confident, well-rounded companion she is meant to be.
