(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

Story
**Deaf dog**   Watch out world, here comes Adele! Adele is a 2-year-old bundle of energy that is quick to steal your heart with her bubbly personality and love of adventure. Adele is the epitome of happy-go-lucky and is always ready for some playtime. She is full of energy and is ready to go on lots of adventures with her fur-ever family. Adele is full-grown weighing about 36lbs. Adele came to us from the Yolo County Animal Shelter after she was found as a stray roaming in the countryside. None of the locals recognized her and no one came forward to claim her, so we swooped in and she has been in one of our foster homes ever since.  You would never know it when you met her, but Adele is deaf. Due to her coloring, it likely is genetic and she was born without her hearing. Adele doesn't seem to notice though, and lives life to the fullest! Just like any Aussie, she LOVES to run, play, and have a good time. Adele is looking for a special home that ideally has experience training a deaf dog. Adele still needs to learn all her basic manners, so she needs a family dedicated to her training. Being a young, active girl, Adele is looking for a family that can keep her busy mind enriched with lots of training, playtime, and exercise. She would be a great match for someone who would be willing to teach her lots of fun tricks or even agility. She is such a blast to work with and is eager to learn!  Adele likely spent her first years out in the country and seems to not have much experience walking on a leash. She can get excited by passing cars and bikes and wants to chase them. She will need someone dedicated to helping her learn how to stay calm around exciting things. Adele LOVES everyone she meets and is quick to throw herself in your lap for cuddles. She loves to give kisses and charms everyone with her sweet personality. Adele loves other dogs and we think she would love to be in a home that has another active dog for her to romp around with. She also could thrive as an only dog as long as she has lots of dog friends. Adele thinks that cats are a little too fun to chase, so would do best in a kitty-free home. Due to her enthusiastic antics, Adele would do best in a home with kids 12 years and older. Adele has been doing great with her housetraining, but her new family should be prepared to be patient with her as she settles into a new home. Adele sleeps through the night in her crate and will settle in her crate during the day after she has gotten her morning energy out. She would do best in a home where she doesn't have to be left home alone often as she loves to be with her people as part of the family. Adele is such a loving girl and she is ready for that special home she deserves. If you think that is you, submit an adoption application today!   Adele's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm and started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to his or her age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. October 3, 2023, 6:41 pm

Story
Sky is a 1 year old and 75 pound dog looking for his forever home! His favorite activities were to play fetch, go for walks, go for runs, and play with toys. He loves to play with other dogs. His adoption fee was generously sponsored by Green Acres.I do not have a history with dogs but may do well with your dog, bring yours down to meet me!I do not have a history with cats but may do well with a slow introduction.I have a history of living with children, but due to my size and temperament I'm a better fit for older children and adults. If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served

Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Kaliman, an Australian Shepherd/border collie mix, is a three year older intact male with a mission to work and run freely. Kaliman, also known as “Kali”, is a smart, playful, attentive dog who loves being cuddled but can also be very aloof at times. He was born and raised on a farm until the unfortunate death of two small goats committed by him. Friendly towards humans, children (12+), and would recommend a home where he can be the only pet. Original age unknown but vet told us he was around 3 years old. Vaccines are all up to date. Not neutered, but will be willing to pay surgery fees to get him fixed. Feel free to message me any questions.
