Her mom is an Australian Shepherd, and thanks to some very nosy humans (and a DNA test), we know dad was a pit mix. So she’s got brains, beauty, and bounce. Currently living in a foster home with a whole pack of pups, Luna fits right in... most of the time. There’s one dog she has the occasional food-fueled disagreement with—nothing dramatic, just the usual “Who ate my kibble?” squabble. Otherwise, she’s a social butterfly. We got Charlie and his brother and his mother (but they dont look anything like each other so who knows) from a man who was moving across the country and didnt want to take them to a shelter that would likely kill them and we fell in love and didnt want to see them killed either. The three of them are really so sweet and friendly with people, after a brief introduction of course. They are a pretty tight pack and dont allow others in to their pack easily. So, regardeless should they be kept together or split up, its likely going to be a challenge to integrate them with other dogs. I dont know how to do it. Lots of energy. Loves to play fetch but will need to be taught how to bring the toy back to you. Will make a great watch dog if you can teach him how to not bark at the neighbors or passers by. I feel like these dogs will need someone who knows how to train them properly and has the energy to burn on walks with him or them.

She is 5 years old and originally came from a farm in Idaho where she grew up with several siblings and other dogs. She has a very social, playful personality and is full of energy. She loves to run, play, and get the zoomies, and she enjoys being around people and staying active. She is good with children and does well with other large dogs. She would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, attention, and space to run, ideally with a yard or an active routine. We are looking for a loving home that can truly match her energy level and give her the time and consistency she needs to thrive. Due to changes in our family’s situation, including having an autistic child who requires significant support and structure, we are no longer able to provide her with the level of activity and attention she deserves. This is a very difficult decision, but our priority is finding her a stable, caring home where she can be happy and well cared for.

You will have fun practicing plus learning more. She is food motivated and will sit for her dinner or a treat. She is also house trained and crate trained. Lexy loves her people, she will give kisses and lay down for belly rubs. She’s good with older children She loves to play with other dogs – she’s a rock star at Doggy Care. The staff at day care say she’s one of the sweetest pups there. Lexy is good in leash and can pull a bit when she gets excited. She loves car rides; she’s gone on 6+ hour family trips without issues. She’s very active and loves to run and play, chase or be chased. She has a keen sense of hearing and will alert you when people come to your house. She does well when visiting the vet or getting a bath. She’s microchipped and spayed, and up to date with her shots. She's also had FHO surgery and has fully recovered.
