Story
Meet Foxie! She was actually rescued by two staff members in pt. Richmond with her baby and the dad. They all went to CCAS and foxie was the last one who needed a home, so Milo pulled her! So far she is sweet once she warms up and she is still learning the basics of the world. She would do well with owners who have experience with dogs and ideally adults only as she can be a bit nervous with too much going on. She walks well on leash.

Story
Meet Bandit! 🐾 Bandit is a 2-year-old mixed-breed boy with a one-of-a-kind personality. We think he may have some Kelpie, Husky, and Shepherd in his family tree—but honestly, your guess is as good as ours! Whatever his mix, we know one thing for sure: Bandit is a fantastic dog. Bandit and his brother, Rocket, were sadly abandoned at a vacant property after their family moved away. They spent about a week on their own before some good Samaritans found them and brought them to safety. Bandit is happy, affectionate, healthy, playful, and full of personality. He loves other dogs and especially enjoys playing with his brother, Rocket. He would be a wonderful companion for an active family and a big yard would be a huge bonus. Looking for a running buddy? Bandit is your guy! He can easily keep up with a running pace, yet he's surprisingly nice on leash and doesn't pull much. He's also discovering that car rides are pretty great and sits calmly and quietly in the car. Bandit has that wonderful combination of energy and good manners—ready for adventures when you are, but also affectionate and easy to enjoy. Whether it's a run, a romp in the yard or simply hanging out with his people, Bandit is happiest when he's included. If you're looking for a fun-loving, active, affectionate dog who can be your adventure partner and your best friend, Bandit would love to meet you!

Marigold is as sweet a dog as they come. She is in a high kill shelter and we are the reason. We pulled and placed her brother and sister and did not know Marigold was left behind. Arabella was found wandering the streets with her sister, both of them far too young to be on their own. They were brought into a shelter, where they were at risk and waiting for someone to give them a chance. Thankfully, they were saved and Arabella is now safe in a loving foster home, where she is learning just how wonderful life can be. You would never know from her joyful spirit that Arabella has already been through so much. She is sweet, resilient, playful, and full of puppy energy. She loves people and is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes. Whether she’s playing with her four-legged friends or cuddling up with her people, Arabella is happiest when she’s surrounded by love. She’s also a little overachiever! Arabella is potty trained, crate trained, and has mastered her puppy basics. She’s currently working on her leash manners and continues to learn and grow every day. Arabella has already shown just how resilient she is. Now she deserves a forever home where she can leave her difficult start behind and spend her days doing what every puppy should be doing — playing, exploring, cuddling, and being loved.

Story
Meet Aspen Sometimes, one moment is all it takes to save a life. Aspen, a beautiful adult Heeler mix (possibly with a touch of Rottie), was just hours away from being euthanized at the shelter. Overlooked and out of time, her story was about to end, until a volunteer saw her. There was something in Aspen’s eyes, a quiet, soulful look that said she wasn’t ready to give up. And because someone chose to see her, Aspen is here today. Now safe, Aspen is beginning to decompress and learn what it means to be given a second chance. She is very friendly, greeting people with warmth and an open heart. Underneath that friendly nature is a deeply loyal, sensitive dog who forms strong bonds with the people in her life. Once she connects with you, you’ll see her true heart, gentle, devoted, and incredibly attached. Aspen is smart and observant, always watching and learning. She has that classic working-dog intelligence paired with a steady, grounding presence. She wants to understand her person, to bond, to belong. There’s something really special about Aspen. She isn’t just another dog, she’s a survivor, a second-chance soul who is ready to give her whole heart to someone who will love her in return. She didn’t ask for her past, but she’s holding onto hope for her future. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a friendly shadow, and a dog whose love runs deep, Aspen is waiting to meet you.

Story
Meet Wally – The Happiest Aussie Around! 🐶☀️ Wally is a jolly, joyful Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his smile! His journey hasn’t been the smoothest—rescued from a shelter somewhere in LA, he was quickly pulled by a less-than-reputable rescue and left in boarding without a second thought. But despite the bumps in the road, Wally never let it dim his light. This boy is pure sunshine. Wally is friendly with everyone he meets—dogs, people, you name it. He’s super affectionate, loves to be near his humans, and has that lovable Aussie charm that wins hearts fast. He doesn’t bark much, he just wants to spread joy and soak up love wherever he can. Wally is also dog-friendly, making him a great fit for homes with other pups. His energy is upbeat without being over the top, and his sweet, easygoing personality makes him a dream companion. Wally’s ready for a fresh start—one where he’s truly part of a family, not just passed through. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving buddy who’ll brighten every day with a wag and a cuddle, Wally is waiting with open paws. Come meet Wally—the happy heart you didn’t know you needed. 🐾❤️
