Our family is relocating to Australia. Bringing a dog into Australia requires 180+ days of preparation — more than our timeline allows. We explored every option and are heartbroken, but Kip deserves a stable, loving home. What Kip needs - A fenced yard and regular exercise. He's a sensitive soul — loud noises (buses, skateboards, hair dryers) overwhelm him, so a quieter environment is ideal. He's a real tail-chaser when stimulated. Best suited to adults or calm households with older, dog-savvy kids. Friendly with all humans; mixed with other dogs, especially on-leash. Hugo is a sweet boy. At parks he plays happily and perfectly with dogs of any breed and size - big ones, tiny ones. He even prefers to let other dogs win at fetch. At home he’s cuddly and loves the other dog in our home. He eats very slowly, savoring each bite. Even if napping, every hour or so he comes to check on the humans. But on leash, on walks, he’s reactive to dogs. We adopted him 2 years ago, and they say he may have been through some trauma. The older he gets the more the city overwhelms him. If we can’t find him a happier home, somewhere in a less populated area where he wouldn’t have to go on walks past other dogs every day like he does now in the city, we will simply keep him and keep loving him. We just want him to not have this stressful experience twice a day :(

Tawny was a shelter favorite and had an upper respiratory infection which is a death sentence in high kill shelters. She was fostered at the last minute by a wonderful person who saved Tawny's life. We pulled her and are looking for that perfect home where Tawny can enjoy being a doggy for the first time. She is in foster care now with four other dogs and doing wonderfully. She is super fun, loves to play...waiting for that first trip to the beach so she canb live up to her Facebook page Tawny at the Beach! Meet Foxie! She was actually rescued by two staff members in pt. Richmond with her baby and the dad. They all went to CCAS and foxie was the last one who needed a home, so Milo pulled her! So far she is sweet once she warms up and she is still learning the basics of the world. She would do well with owners who have experience with dogs and ideally adults only as she can be a bit nervous with too much going on. She walks well on leash.
