Story
Luna was found at the start of quarantine when she was a couple months old. She is about 3.5 years old. She is vocal, affectionate, hyper, attentive, playful, athletic and mischievous. She takes time and space to get warmed up to other dogs, but loves almost all people. She is very attached to her bestie, Bixby. She is also likely to follow her person around nearly everywhere. She has leash aggression, tending to bark at other dogs but not at people. Shoes, books, paper, and food are fair game for her to tear up if she can get it. She likes to dig and has the ability and tendency to jump over a standard size fence.

Story
Hero, neutered male, 10-months-old, 37-lbs If you would like to give Hero a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Hero is social by nature, very mellow and enjoys being around people. He is aimed to please and very food motivated, so is easy to train. Hero is friendly around adults and kids, also good with other dogs and cats; he would share his toy and food without getting into fight. He is house trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; a good rider in the car; no barking or chewing behaviors. Hero will make a great family companion pet and a good walking partner in the park or hikes! Hero’s rescue story: Hero and two siblings had been wandering in the suburban mountain area for quite a while. The chance for these young puppies to survive in the wilderness during winter time is slim. Luckily, all three fragile lives were rescued in time and then got settled in foster homes. The puppies received loving care and medical attention under foster care. Hero thrived to be a healthy and happy pup! Please view Hero ’s videos at: Hero on the beach http://youtu.be/D-9ii_mvqLM Follows the commands well http://youtu.be/vyXF0200NuA http://youtu.be/zwMhghAxmcs Has no food aggression with human and dogs. http://youtu.be/Se3oFuwPHO4 Good with cats. http://youtu.be/YOgsM5CbYJg http://youtu.be/kEAT27Mg48w Interact well with dogs. http://youtu.be/vfJPzPepXmc http://youtu.be/F94VhM4Qmi8 Good with strangers. http://youtu.be/NKhpxmXPu-c http://youtu.be/7gjzOR17uB4 http://youtu.be/nPT_Dh3Hv3o Leash walk training http://youtu.be/LXp_g8b2Buw http://youtu.be/ylXwI1j_oos Temperament: Energy level: Medium Ideal home environment: Quiet or active both Is the dog good with strangers: yes The dog is best with children of what age group? Story
Is this Australian Cattle Dog on your Bingo card? We think so! Bingo is a professional sniffer, which helps him build confidence and explore the world around him. He is an affectionate fellow who loves to be pet, especially on the neck. He is a smart and treat-motivated boy who already knows sit and some other basic cues. Bingo likes to go on walks, but he's got a nice balance of energy at his age and won't require tons of daily exercise. Come meet Bingo today and see if you're a big winner!Foster-to-Adopt!Think you and Bingo might be a match, but you want to do a trial run at home first? You can foster Bingo-meaning you'll take them home for one week with the intention of adopting them at the end of their stay. Story
Ozzie is an energetic, intelligent and strong four-year old Australian Cattle dog mixed with Red Heeler. He is about 65 pounds (not sure) and would love to be part of a family with a large back yard or farm as he loves running off leash in open space. He has taken Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, Loose Leash, ReCall, Achieving Adolescent, Agility and other dog skills classes. He has is comfortable with doggy daycare and has boarded for periods of about two or three weeks. He's friendly with people and dogs but doesn't like bikes or skateboarders or things that come upon him suddenly and seem threatening, in which case he can bark reactively. He is crate-trained. My friend the owner has experienced a series of health challenges and can no longer keep up caring for Ozzie. We'd like to find him a happy new home. Note: these photos are from three years ago when he was one. More up-to-date photos will be posted in about a week. He comes with his crate and many toys.

Story
Hi, I’m Max.  I’m a 3-year-old Cattle Dog/Chihuahua Mix.  If you know Cattle Dogs, you know I like lots of exercise.  Right now I live in San Francisco but there’s no real backyard and I don’t get out as much as I’d like.  I’d love to find someone who’s active and ideally, I’d like to be the only dog (though I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and I get along okay, I’d just prefer not having to share your love).  I do need some leash training; I do like to pull.  I can be a bit much at the dog park, but that’s just the herder in me.  Not everyone likes my style of fun. I’m hoping you like to have someone to cuddle with, I’m loyal and loving.  I just would thrive in a more active lifestyle. I have excellent recall and I’m quick. I’d be good at agility or just a great dog to take on hikes.   My family loves me very much.  If we don’t make a great match, they will take me back.  They’re just trying to find the very best life they can for me.
