Marigold is as sweet a dog as they come. She is in a high kill shelter and we are the reason. We pulled and placed her brother and sister and did not know Marigold was left behind. We have run out of Bay Area foster homes and would love to find a great foster (adopter better yet) in the Bay Area. Please take a second look at this sweet 35 pounder. Marigold is smart, very will-to-please, treat oriented, loves cuddles but also a great outdoors dog who will make an incredible hiking partner and all around pal. If you are looking for a dog friendly, people friendly pet who is fun outdoors and chill inside watching tv, then contact us to find out more about sweet Marigold. Ask about our incredible foster to adopt program and how we use nutrition and inexpensive holistic support so that nobody ever needs an exprensive vet! We've got over 20 years experience and the healthy dogs to show for it. Give us a call today to find out more about Marigold.

Sweet and mellow at heart, he has a gentle presence that makes everyone feel instantly at ease. But don't let his laid-back vibe fool you - Teddy still has that playful spark! He loves exploring the world with a wagging tail and bright eyes, always curious enough to investigate, yet cautious enough to think before he leaps.Whether he's nudging your hand for affection, trotting on a mini adventure, or curling up like the oversized plush toy he basically is, Teddy brings softness, joy, and a little bit of mischief wherever he goes.A lovable, life-sized teddy bear - that's our Teddy. Story
Caesar: A Loyal Heart Seeking a Patient, Understanding Home. Hello! My name is Caesar, and I'm a handsome Shepherd (and maybe Husky!) mix, estimated to be 1.5 years old and weighing 55 lbs. I was neutered in March. I was found in Fresno, California, and didn't have much exposure to the world before coming into rescue. Because of this, I can be quite fearful and reactive towards new people and other dogs. I need a truly understanding and patient adopter who is committed to helping me feel secure and confident. While I haven't had much early socialization or training, I'm a quick learner and brave. I'm surprisingly house-trained and do very well inside the home once I understand the routine. I've already made excellent progress in my foster home, showing that with consistency and the right environment, I can continue to blossom. I'm a truly wonderful companion. I'm a fast learner and quickly accept and respect new things or people once I'm familiar with them. I've learned to sit politely for what I want and will even show you to my leash when it's walk time! I love walks and would make a great hiking buddy. My foster mom says I'm pretty strong – it must be the Husky in me! I wear a prong collar for walks, but I'm learning good leash manners. I also have a strong prey drive and am diligent about pursuing squirrels in the yard – this bodes well for your garden this summer! Initially, I was pretty reactive to vehicles passing by, particularly loud trucks or fast- moving cars. I have spent lots of time desensitizing and am much less concerned with cars on the road. Turns out, I happen to love riding in the car! I will very willingly “load up” and then enjoy the views and fresh air with my head out the window. The Shepherd in me loves to please, and I pick up new tricks quickly. I already know SIT, DOWN, and SHAKE, and we're working on STAY. I'm still a bit of a puppy at heart, playful with my toys (stuffed animals, ropes and things I can swing around are my favorite) and I’m always up for a good roll in the grass. I will patrol the yard, but generally refrain from barking at passersby. Even with yard access, I prefer being with my people if they are indoors. I like to lounge on the bed while you get ready for the day. And once I get to know you, I’ll snuggle with you on the couch. What I Need in a Home Due to my fear-based aggression, I need a home without small children. I could enjoy sleeping in on the weekends with a teenager who enjoys canine companionship. I’ve never been around a cat but would likely be inclined to chase them. I need a home with a secure yard and will always need to be on leash and harness when outside of the home.

Story
Peanut Butter is adorable, sweet, playful and very energetic dog! She loves to play outside and love cuddles and hugs! We adopted her in April and she is been super spoiled since then but unfortunately my special needs son had a seizure, a hospitalization and lots of complications after that. Our family is struggling with my son's situation and our sweet pet is not getting the care she needs and wants. Because of that complex situation, we don't have conditions to keep Peanut Butter. We are facing a hard family time and she deserves more attention that we are able to give her now. She still needs to be trained but she is doing a great job potty training. If you wants a lovely dog who loves kids and play, she is your girl!

These pups are in Oakland, California too!

Story
Meet Rosita! Rosita is a smart, playful, and affectionate girl who’s ready to charm her way into your home and heart. She's currently potty-trained, though still learning to signal when it's time to go outside—she’s making great progress with positive reinforcement! Training & Skills: Rosita is a quick learner and knows lots of commands including “sit,” “down,” “wait,” “come,” “paw,” “touch,” “leave it,” and “look.” She’s working on loose leash walking and doing great! Highly food-motivated (especially for salmon treats or crunchy chicken chips), she also enjoys puzzle toys, sniff mats, and Kong balls that challenge her brain and keep her busy. Personality & Play: This girl LOVES to play! She enjoys fetch and is a big fan of her jolly ball. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs—particularly those her size—and is full of energy for play sessions and running around. Rosita is also very affectionate and adores belly rubs and cuddle time. Social Skills: Rosita is friendly with people and loves to make new friends. She’s still learning not to jump up when she’s excited and may nip at clothing when overstimulated—but she responds well to training and gentle redirection. She’s good with kids, though she should be monitored around younger ones as her excitement sometimes gets the best of her. Lifestyle & Routine: Rosita is crate-trained and currently enjoys a very active lifestyle—about 3 hours of walk/run time daily plus an hour of independent play. She would thrive with an active adopter who can match her energy and continue her training journey. If you’re looking for a bright, eager-to-please pup who’s equal parts cuddly and fun, Rosita might just be your perfect companion! (KH) Rosita weighs 37 pounds.
