Story
*Name: Mocha *Age: 2 years old *Current Weight: approx 45 pounds *Rescued from: Texas *Adoption fee: $475 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Meet Mocha, the energetic and lovable two-year-old Kelpie mix! Mocha is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves nothing more than being in the great outdoors. She is a natural athlete, always ready for a good game of fetch or a brisk run around the block. Despite her high energy levels, Mocha is also a big fan of cuddling and lap snuggling. She is a social butterfly and loves being around people, especially if they're willing to give her lots of belly rubs and bones to chew on. Mocha is a quick learner and is already crate trained and potty trained. Her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a joy to train, and she's always eager to learn new tricks and commands. Mocha's perfect home would be with an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring new places. If you're looking for a loyal and lovable companion who will keep you on your toes, Mocha is the perfect dog for you! To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1401037##

Story
CHIPPER is Now SAFE with ARK Charities! Chipper, fka #52567170 was saved from the lab in a high kill shelter where he was moments away from losing his life due to terrible and unprecedented shelter overcrowding. It would have been a tragic loss for this 2yr young, sweet, 61 lb boy to lose his life yesterday. His volunteer notes are awesome- walks nicely in a leash, passed by a grumpy dog without a care and takes treats gently. He is both dog and people friendly and is now going to be coming to CT to find his happily ever after! He is a fun pup for sure.

Story
Carlee is about a year old and was dumped in a rural area. The neighbors were taking care of her but she is ready for her new home and a family that can absorb all of this sweetness into their home yet provide structure and training.  Carlee has a desire to please and wants to love everyone and everything but gets nervous easily.   She thrives on attention and has plenty of love to reciprocate.  Carlee loves toys and probably would make an excellent frisbee dog as she is very athletic.  She loves for you to toss treats for her to catch in her mouth.  Because she is so smart, she would to be intellectually stimulated.  Carlee is a very sensitive dogs and if she does something she knows you don't approve of, it's a dead give away by looking at her ears! She seems to be more obedient with males as far as listening to commands. We don't think she would be a good apartment dog as her breed requires more stimulation and exercise.  Carlee is definitely loved in her current home which is a mini farm but she does not do well with differentiating farm animals which are pets and not prey.  Living with chickens will not be an option for her!  UGH! Other than that which is characteristic of many dogs, she really such a nice fur baby!  We would love to find her a home where she can build confidence in herself and humans. Carly loves training time and the attention that goes along with it. When it is bedtime Carly goes to her crate, pauses to see if you want to give her a little love or a treat, then climbs right in. Her personality is very similar to an Australian Shepherd.  If you would like an adoption application, email storkwoods@comcast.net. We are an all volunteer based rescue so be kind!

Story
Let's talk about Bruno! At 11 months and 30 pounds, this charming young man is ready to find his forever home. According to his foster mom, Bruno is the perfect blend of energetic and affectionate. Like all young dogs, Bruno will need patient leadership to help him learn boundaries and channel his puppy energy. Bruno loves walks and playtime and makes friends wherever he goes with his sweet, silly energy. After all that fun, nothing will make this affectionate boy happier than to be lavished with pets and scratches! Bruno enjoys car rides and has been working on his leash skills. He gets along well with people and other dogs. He has been neutered and is up to date on shots and vaccinations. Now all he needs is the perfect home!
