Story
Georgey (or in Spanish, Gorge) is an 11-month-old pup that weighs approximately 32 lbs. While we do not know who his parents are, we believe he is Australian kelpie mixed with lab or catahoula. Either way, he is definitely adorable and very petite. We do think he is full grown as he has not grown since we got him. He has been in foster care since March 2025 - He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where a stray dog had puppies at. Only Gorge and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered though. We don’t know what happened to the other puppies or the parents. This awesome boy absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. He is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Gorge is a goofy boy – he is always willing to try something first and would be considered the “class clown” of the group. He is a pleaser and loves being accepted by the other dogs. He is more submissive than most. Gorge loves his toys and playing around the yard. There is nothing he does not like doing. He is all around a very relaxed and easy going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves being around his people and will follow you around, trying to please you too. Gorge gets a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in kennel. He will make very sad whimpering sounds in hopes to get let out, and usually it works! Gorge loves his toys so much that he decides it’s much better to have 20 pieces of one toy than just one toy! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Gorgey. He has met kitties and he has no issues with them! He would live very happy with other dogs and kitties in the home. Gorge is so friendly that he loves kids, strangers and really, any human! Gorge would love a home that has another dog or dogs, where he can play, have a kiddo pool full of water to lay in and go on walks around the neighborhood to explore and see new things. He would be truly great for most types of households. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY – Only one transport company goes here, once a month Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA – THESE STOPS ARE ON HOLD AS OF 7/1 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the foster who has the animal for you to ask any specific questions regarding them.

Story
Keiko is a very sweet and beautiful boy who we think is a Border Collie and Australian Kelpie mix. He's just about 1 year old and 35 pounds which is smaller than some of his pics make him appear. He's got different looks depending if his ears are up or down! :) He has a very sweet & gentle personality and can be a little shy when he first meets people but warms up quickly. He loves playing with other dogs and getting belly rubs and kisses from his Foster Mom. He get along great with everyone he meets ...just needs a slow and gentle intro so he can smell you and maybe get a treat. Once he knows you...he will be your best friend. He has a low-medium energy level so settles nicely after playing and loves quiet time relaxing on the couch or in his doggie bed. He loves going for walks in the neighborhood and rides in the car too. We think he'd thrive with an older doggie sibling to play with and give him confidence. We recommend kiddos be 8+ years because toddlers may have a higher level of energy than he'd enjoy. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body but he's a more mellow and quiet guy. Keiko is healthy, up to date on all his vaccinations, house-trained and crate-trained so he's so ready to find his forever family. Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info and pics of this sweet boy!

Story
Stormy is a sweet, social pup that came to CPR with her litter of puppies. She is ready to hang up her mom hat and enjoy life as a carefree, much loved member of the family now that her puppies are weaned. She is friendly, good with other dogs, and will be loads of fun on your outdoor adventures. She does have a strong preference for women but she tolerates her foster mom's husband just fine, too. If you'd like to add her to your household or learn more about her, we'd love to hear from you. Stormy is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Story
Daisy is a sweet, 3 month old puppy that's ready for a home of her own. She is social & fun and will make a wonderful new family member. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility.
