Story
Animal Profile: Carrot is a now 1-year-old 40 lb spayed female that we think is predominantly Kelpie. She was acquired by a family for their autistic child as a service dog. They soon realized they didn't have the financial or other capability for necessary training and surrendered her to the rural Los Banos shelter, where she was euthanasia listed for space. She was assessed to be friendly and social with people and dogs. Foster Update: Carrot is a sweet girl with typical puppy energy. She's very friendly when meeting new people and other dogs. She has high energy and loves to zoom around the yard with her bigger dog friend. This girl also loves to hike and explore! She recently did an over 10-mile hike and loves long walks, 5-7 miles, in the city and in parks or on trails. She likes her toys - especially her namesake carrot stuffy - and takes care not to destroy them; when excited, she is learning to redirect by placing a ball or a “chew” toy in her mouth. She is improving with walking on a leash, but remains very interested in the world around her so needs encouragement to focus on the task at hand. She is potty trained, her recall is coming along, and her crate training is much improved, though she still prefers to have her people in the room with her while in her crate. When she's out of the crate she likes to be near her humans and will lie down or play with one of her toys; she's surprisingly calm inside. She has not been evaluated with cats or kids. Carrot will do best in a family that is home most of the day or can bring her along with them, has a dog playmate that can match her energy, and is able to continue to provide stability, love, and training to help her be her best self. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Los Banos shelter where she was euth listed for space. She arrived to foster care in Seattle on 5/21. February 27, 2024, 3:30 am

Story
Hi, Tomasa is my name and if you want an all around easy dog to get along with - I'm your girl! I love to swim, run, and play. I can already imagine all the fun things we could do together. But I am also very content to lay be your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. I getting pretty good at walking on a leash without pulling - and with your help I'm sure I'll be perfect soon! And did I mention I love treats? I already know how to sit for a treat. Being food motivated makes me easy to train. I get along great with most dogs after we are introduced, but I can be a bit vocal with dogs that I don’t know. Once we are introduced, we're good friends. In fact, I go for walks on our La Paz Malecon every Wednesday just so I can meet new dogs and people and be a social girl. If you like an all-around great dog - who has energy to play when you are ready, will chill and lay at your feet while you work, and be ready for cuddles when it's time -- I'm definitely the girl for you.If you think we could have a happy life together, then just click on the "Apply to Adopt" button. I will be waiting for you! To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
MEET GIGI! Gigi is a sweet girl with an old soul who will steal your heart. She is a little over a year old and currently weighs about 40 lbs., and is in a foster home in the Greater Seattle area. She is a wonderful medium-size dog for an active person or people. Gigi is housetrained and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash and is calm on car rides and in the home. She is such a well behaved girl it boggles our mind how she ended up as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter, where no one came for her. Without question, Gigi will be your companion through thick and thin. She is loyal and intelligent, and her favorite thing is just to cuddle up with you on the couch. She sits well for treats. Gigi loves kids, most other dogs and would do best with a submissive dog. We do not know how she is with cats. If you would like to meet this amazing girl, please email for an application. Thank you.

Story
The first thing I could see when I met Olive was a nurturing nature, seeing her with smaller dogs and kids only reinforced that. So it was no surprise when I learned she was a recent mama who beautifully protected and nurtured her baby into a happy and healthy puppy . Watching them together was heartwarming and we all know that puppy was loved by her and soon will find a family of its own. So let me tell you more about Olive in hopes she wins your heart and can have her own happy and healthy future, she deserves it! Olive is estimated to be about three-years-old, she weighs 57 lbs and is full grown. We believe she may be an Australian Kelpie/Lab mix but with rescue it is always, at best, an educated guess. No matter her breed or her history, this girl is a great companion and a beautiful friend. She has a gorgeous, soft coat, attentive eyes, and the happiest tail to prove how happy she is. I could see Olive in a home with a yard so she could explore, bound around and feel stimulated by her environment. This girl loves a good playtime with a canine companion and her stamina shows when a good game of chase ensues. She isn’t afraid to let loose and get vocal when she is having fun, you will hear her sounds of fun, encouragement, and occasional correction. One thing that sets Olive apart is her incredible rapport with kids. She has a gentle eye and is absolutely at ease in the company of the noise and chaos that kids typically create. Whether it's playing tag or cuddling up for storytime, Olive's demeanor and patient nature make her a great companion for children of all ages. Although great with kids, people of all types, other dogs, Olive isn’t much of a cat person. Its possible she has never been around a cat which creates a natural curiosity, we think she would be best suited for a cat-free home. Lets be honest, not everyone is a cat person. In the vast world of dogs, Olive Karma is one great dog- loyal, loving, and one who loves a good snuggle just as much as a good adventure. She can't wait to explore the world from the end of your leash. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Koda is 100% australian shepard who is curious, sweet, and playful. He definitely struggles with feeling anxious around new people, new noises, and unpredictable movements/people. We are welcoming a baby this year and unfortunately with Kodas reactivity, we feel as though it is not a safe environment for a baby. We are heartbroken by this decision but hope to find a loving and prepared set of owners that will care for him as we hope they would. He has gone to private obedience boarding school and puppy classes but still struggles with anxious tendencies unless he is constantly working on his behavior and reactivity struggles. He is very active, LOVES to be outside, and will win any tug-of-war match. He currently lives in a house with another, older, dog that he does play with and seems to enjoy. However, we would suggest that he go to a household of no other dogs and/or experienced owners that can create a safe and dynamic relationship between him and other pups if necessary.
