Story
Say hello to Chessy! She is a ~5 month old, ~15lb, Kelpie/Chihuahua mix who is ready to find her forever home! Chessy is your typical puppy. She is happy, playful and full of fun energy! She will thrive in a home that can work on continued basic obedience, and give her proper exercise. She loves to play and would love to find a family that is active and will take her on adventures. Chessy is good with other dogs and would love another dog to play with in her forever home, but she would do fine as an only dog with continued socialization and play time with other dogs. Chessy is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
MEET ROCKY, a 1-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves both humans and dogs alike! He weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where his person or people work from home, or are retired, as he loves company. He'd also thrive in a home with another dog, though it's not a necessity. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi, I am Monkey! I am a happy, playful, and quirky little dog with lots of personality. I love to play with other dogs, go for walks, and snuggle on the couch with my people. I enjoy lying in the sun and being lazy, but I also get the zoomies and love to play when the mood hits me.I was hit by a car in front of my rescuer's house in May 2025 and had a fractured femur that was surgically repaired. I used to live across the street, mostly outside, but after my accident, the man who had me didn't want me back. That turned out to be lucky for me because now I'm looking for a loving forever home where I will be wanted and loved.I'm kennel trained, affectionate, and loyal. I would do great in a home with another dog and an owner who enjoys walks and snuggle time. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Hi, I’m Zoro! I’m a friendly, eager-to-please guy who loves being around people. I’m dog friendly, leash trained, and potty trained, though I’m still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when I get excited. I have medium to high energy and can adapt to different environments, so I’m happy to chill at home or join you for walks and playtime. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who loves attention and wants to be by your side, I’d be thrilled to meet you. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Story
Are you looking for a soft soul to love in the midst of this crazy world? We have the perfect dog for you! Trixie is like the shy new kid in class who stays tucked in the corner until someone kind sits next to her, offers a little patience, and opens the door to a beautiful friendship. Once she realizes she’s safe and loved, she blooms. Trixie has gone from a quiet and unsure girl to a loyal, snuggly, playful companion who knows how good it feels to be loved and cherished. This beautiful girl weighs about 55 pounds and is estimated to be 5 years old. We think she is a Kelpie/Husky/shephard mix, but we aren’t really sure, so we just call her our Texas Special- the very best breed! She has a gorgeous coat that features a mixture of solid black shiny fur with patches of merle and spots on her socks. Check out Trixie here: https://youtu.be/HGbITB-dv5k Trixie is being fostered with eight small grumpy dogs. It is funny to watch her gently play with them, and then she takes it in stride when they growl and snap at her. They do snuggle up to her sometimes! In play groups with other big dogs she is very shy and stays on the sidelines. For that reason, we think Trixie would thrive in a home with small dogs. Trixie blossoms with people who are patient. Her bond with her foster mom is a shining example; she’s become her little shadow, quietly trailing from room to room just to be nearby. She loves to snuggle on the couch and have her belly rubbed. Trixie wants nothing more than to be with her person. Like many herding breeds, she uses her mouth to communicate and can be “mouthy”. She would do best with older kids who understand she is being playful. Looking for a buddy to grab a morning coffee or late night ice cream treat with? Trixie would love to join you! She is an excellent car rider and knows how to “load up”. She is great on the leash and loves to go for walks and to dog friendly stores. She walks by people and dogs with ease. Trixie gets lots of zoomies- so a home with a fenced yard she can run around in would be ideal for her. Trixie potty trained and create trained. She is not the biggest fan of the crate and will complain for a while, but will settle down when she can no longer see you, for this reason she would not do well in an apartment. Trixie’s new family should expect to spend some time building trust until she knows this is her new home. She is shy in new places and with new people. Trixie met our housecat Biggie and was gently curious, giving respectful sniffs before moving along. She’s considered cat tolerant and could do well in a home with a dog-savvy feline who won’t mind the occasional gentle inspection. Trixie is searching for a peaceful home where she can feel safe and adored, a place with a yard to explore, and a person to lean into and little dogs to play with. She would love to go on a good walk or an adventure up the mountains. If you think Trixie might just be your perfect match, apply here and her coordinator will reach out! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/686a7f52abb88d9ce7062ead Questions? The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
