Story
MEET ROCKY, a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves his human! He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves to be with people. Rocky weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. He's done well with other dogs in the past, though we can test him further. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where he can go for walks, hikes or other outings. He's currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
Taiga is a loving, obedient, and loyal dog who enjoys walks, naps, and playing with other dogs. She began wandering through the neighborhood where her foster lives, approaching gently each day for food. She had several pregnancies while living outdoors. One day she settled in the front yard and gave birth to a single puppy. Then her foster decided it was time to bring her inside so she could finally be safe and cared for.Taiga is friendly, social, and an excellent companion. Her ideal home includes other dogs, active people, and a yard. She should not live with cats or small animals she might view as prey. She is ready for a family who will appreciate her calm loyalty and sweet nature. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Hi, I’m Zoro! I’m a friendly, eager-to-please guy who loves being around people. I’m dog friendly, leash trained, and potty trained, though I’m still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when I get excited. I have medium to high energy and can adapt to different environments, so I’m happy to chill at home or join you for walks and playtime. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who loves attention and wants to be by your side, I’d be thrilled to meet you. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Apply to adopt me at https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/BRAZ/27759-long-distance-adopt-app. If you have questions, please email jami@spcabc.org.

Story
This is probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make concerning a pet. I adopted Peanut when she was 6 months old. She was very possessive over food, treats, and toys. Over the past 4 years, she has become increasingly more hostile towards our 10 year old, calm and docile pit bull mix. As of late she has attacked him weekly and sometimes daily, completely unprovoked. She is not allowed near our guests, other pets or children as she tends to get overstimulated easily and will nip or growl. She is extremely loving and loyal to me, but has no room in her heart for more than one person/owner. She loves fetch, hikes, walks, and snuggles (but only with me). She MUST be in a home with only one adult, no other pets and no children. She is a great dog that simply deserves an environment with only one person/owner. She is in excellent health, up to date on vaccines, chipped and house trained. She will make an incredible companion for the right person. She weighs 34lbs.

Story
Fenrir is a sweet, playful young puppy looking for a family to call his own. He has a conformational abnormality in his hind limbs related to a previous injury; however, this does not currently affect his activity level or quality of life. To help him stay comfortable and thriving, Fenrir will need to maintain a healthy weight and continue taking a joint supplement. He also has a sensitive gastrointestinal system that is well-managed with a specialized diet and medication.Despite these special considerations, Fenrir is a happy, affectionate boy who enjoys life and is eager to share it with a loving home. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a special companion, Fenrir will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and love.Come meet this handsome boy today! The NOAH Center31300 Brandstrom Rd., Stanwood, WA 98292Phone:360.629.7055Email: adopt@thenoahcenter.orgwww.thenoahcenter.orgM-F, 11-6 and Sat-Sun, 11-5To learn more about adopting a pet from The NOAH Center, please visit us at www.thenoahcenter.org/dogs
