He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves to be with people. Rocky weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. He's done well with other dogs in the past, though we can test him further. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where he can go for walks, hikes or other outings. This is probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make concerning a pet. I adopted Peanut when she was 6 months old. She was very possessive over food, treats, and toys. Over the past 4 years, she has become increasingly more hostile towards our 10 year old, calm and docile pit bull mix. As of late she has attacked him weekly and sometimes daily, completely unprovoked. She is not allowed near our guests, other pets or children as she tends to get overstimulated easily and will nip or growl. She is extremely loving and loyal to me, but has no room in her heart for more than one person/owner. She loves fetch, hikes, walks, and snuggles (but only with me). She MUST be in a home with only one adult, no other pets and no children. She is a great dog that simply deserves an environment with only one person/owner. She is in excellent health, up to date on vaccines, chipped and house trained. She will make an incredible companion for the right person. She weighs 34lbs.
