"Get your motor runnin'! Head out on the highway! Looking for adventure and whatever comes our way!!!" That is one pawsome song right? My name is Wanda! I am a year old lowriding dachshund MIX :) looking for an ACTIVE family! They say I'm a very smart cookie, that sounds amazing!!! Who doesn't like cookies?! I know sit, fetch and learning to drop it. I have doggie friends and I've met the kitties and they are ok too! I am still a little nervous with new people and sometimes like to bork at them so they know I'm there. Foster mom is teaching me so many cool things all the time. I am crate trained and I LOOOVE belly rubs! I would do great with an active family that likes to go on hikes, adventures and give me lots of chewy toys and stimulate my growing mind! If you like to have a good time like me, have your people get with my people and let's get this pawty started!!! Local (Texas) adoption fee is $200 Out of state (Transport) adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Henley and Australian Shepherd mix pup. Background Henley is a 10-month-old, 25-pound, female spayed (in September) mix puppy. Henley was rescued as a stray but was never claimed and languished for 8 weeks in a shelter and was euth. listed. A friend of mine pulled her to save her life, then contacted me.                                                                            Henley has been in foster care for 1 month in California going through her basic training and waiting for her spay appt in late September. She is doing really well with her training and is an exceptionally intelligent pup. Henley took to the harness and lead quickly and now goes on several outings a week. Henley Loves being outdoors, exploring, playing with her toys, making friends with the neighborhood cats, and being loved on. she is a happy girl and a willing student. Henley is shy when meeting new people which is the norm for a dog who was possibly dumped on the street and then placed into a loud overcrowded shelter for 2 months as a young puppy who should have been receiving love and training. Once she knows you are a nice person she blossoms and opens like a flower! What Henley needs Henley will need adopters who are willing to work, live, and love a higher-energy herding breed dog. Henly will do best with people who work from home and have time for her, will professionally train her with a positive reinforcement cert trainer, take her on LONG daily walks, hiking, and on adventures so she can release all that herding energy, and be happy. Henley is not a yard dog who would ever be happy staying at home and just playing in a fenced area. She is an intelligent breed that requires a lot of physical and mental stimulus. Henley would make an awesome agility dog.   How to adopt Henley Henley has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Henley, she has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.         https   ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 12, 2023, 1:59 pm

Story
Dakota is a sweet Mini Australian Shepherd who needs a family that can provide more love than we are able to at this point. Dakota loves a task to do and being active. We took Dakota in from a puppy mill when she was 6 months old and have done the best we could to get her trained, but unfortunately my wife and I have travelled so much for work that we have never been able to instill that strong foundation Dakota needs. She has great name recall and is able to do all of the basic commands, but she is not great walking on a leash and is very barky when she sees another dog. Dakota would need to be in a house where she is the only pet and there are no little kids. A few months ago Dakota got defensive and bit my wife and as we are expecting a newborn, we need to find Dakota a new family.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Sweet Poppy came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her owner. Her family needed to downsize to an apartment and it was not a suitable environment for her. Poppy is very active and needs to be in a freestanding home with a yard outside of the city. She is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd. Her previous owner describes her as the sweetest angel who will give you all of her love and loves to cuddle. She is fully house trained and won’t potty inside if she is on a routine schedule. She is an active girl who loves to go on walks, running and hiking. She will need an adopter who is active and will keep up on her exercise. She loves to play with squeaky toys. She is also playful and loves other dogs and would do well with another dog friend in the home or could do well by herself as long as she continues to be socialized with other dogs. She is a beautiful girl and will need to be routinely brushed out. She was shaved in the past but should not be shaved again, just regular grooming for this girl. She has a high prey drive so no small animals in the home with her. She has a cat in the home before but cannot be left unattended with them, so we are recommending no cats for her. She can be a flight risk and a runner so she will need to be leashed when outside and not left unattended in the yard. Poppy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $550.

Story
Hobo is the name and energy is the game! I am a young beautiful boy that also happens to be DEAF. I need specific training for deaf dogs such as with hand signals, and because I'm a little late to the game, be prepared to work with me with some dedication. First thing I need to learn is to LOOK at you when you ask(or gesture), because I am a constantly moving and wiggling young man! I can be a bit pushy with other dogs, but I will (eventually!) listen to my canine friends when they tell me to back off or do something else rather than being all up in their business! If you are interested in meeting me, I'd recommend looking up caring and training for a deaf dog to prepare. Because I am WAY too cute to resist! Come to The NOAH Center today!
