Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Pinot was abandoned by her family when they moved away without her.  A week after they moved, she scratched on the door of a nearby neighbor.  The lady at that house recognized the dog and knew the family had moved away more than a week ago.  Pinot was hungry so she began feeding her, and in a matter of days this neighbor noticed she was looking like she was gaining a lot of weight and that she could be pregnant.  So the kind neighbor took her to the vet where it was discovered that she was due to have pups in a week or two.   Fast forward 8 weeks and you have Pinot and her pups being surrendered to PRBJ in hopes to help them all find their forever homes.  Pinot is a little shy but friendly so it just takes her a moment or two to come out of her shell. GROOMING:  In general, weekly brushing sessions will keep the Australian Shepherd's waterproof, double-layer coat looking best. During shedding season, though, more frequency is required. EXERCISE:  The high energy Aussie needs lots of exercise on a daily basis. At minimum, a large, fenced-in yard to run in for an hour or two daily.   An Aussie needs a job to do or he/she may find a job themselves which an owner may not appreciate. SOCIAL and TRAINING:  Aussies bond closely with their owners and love to accompany them on long walks, hikes, running or other energetic adventures.   Their loyalty combined with the breed's keen intelligence and high energy makes them very easy to train.  Training helps to channel the breed's boundless energy.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 9:00 pm

Story
Bradley (formerly Bradley Chonkers) is still available for adoption! 4 years young, up to date on shots, and neutered. Bradley is a beautiful Aussie Shep mix that would do great in a home with other animal friends. Bradley had a rough start in life and would love to finally settle in his forever home. He is nervous at the vet (like most Aussies) and can take a little time to trust but once he does he's loyal. He really goes bonkers around other dogs so if you need a playmate for your dog, this boy is it! Dogs tend to really bring him out of his shell. Bradley will do best in a home with no small children. He has a very mesmerizing look with one amber eye and one ice blue eye. He also gets along with his farm animal friends. He is currently in a home with dogs and a cat. If you'd like to meet Bradley please text Cindy at 321-263-5249 April 30, 2024, 1:08 pm

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Orlando, FL Meet Willow! She is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 30 lbs. She is spayed and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots (except for rabies, bordetella, and DHPP) or on heartworm prevention. Willow is hostile around strangers. No kids, cats, or dogs, due to her reactivity! Willow bit the current owner’s boyfriend. She has also nipped other people visiting their home. The bite occurred after the owner’s boyfriend wanted to meet her face-to-face. He was sitting on the couch and once he got up, Willow bit him. She was sitting in between the owner and her boyfriend when this happened. The owner is surrendering her because of her reactivity towards people visiting their home. She is also downsizing and wants Willow to go to a home where she can receive the proper training that she needs. She needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Willow, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to ensure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Willow. Owner’s Contact Information: Valerie Trolian at (850) 902-4204 or valerie.trolian@gmail.com.
