Story
Dylan is looking for his forever home! We believe he is 9 yo and don’t know much about his past. He came to ASF thin, scared, and matted. Despite his past, he has flourished in his foster home. Dylan is a black tri that is about 35lbs and has limited vision in his left eye, it is not a blue eye. He is very tolerant and does well with brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, taking medication, ect. He is scared of the noise clippers make. He is not a fan of most forms of water but enjoys playing in the rain. He is a very low energy pup. He will do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He is crate trained. He does not enjoy car rides or leash walks as they stress him out. He struggles with separation anxiety, as many Aussies do, but he also gets stress related poops. He is best kenneled if leaving the house to avoid messes. Dylan is a very sweet pup that is learning to love the good life. He enjoys strolls around the yard, rolling in the grass, and taking a nap at foster mom’s feet. He gets the zoomies anytime foster mom comes back from the grocery store. He is okay with other dogs as long as they allow him his space. Because of his vision he gets nervous when other dogs are in his face. He also does well with other small animals as he is very gentle. He does not climb or jump so you don’t have to worry about him hopping up on the couch or bed, unless you put him there. He is food motivated and gets very excited for meals. He has picked up some tricks from his fellow housemates, like giving his paw for pets, and pressing some of the talking buttons. He is sometimes nervous around new people but is quickly appeased with treats and pets. Dylan is a nervous Nelly that has had a tough life but is a very sweet and gentle boy. He has the best Dobby ears and bleps anytime he falls asleep. If you are looking for a low energy Aussie , Dylan may be your man! He is neutered and up to date on shots. Here is the link to the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
We are looking to responsibly rehome our one-year-old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix due to safety concerns with children. He is NOT suitable for a home with kids, which is the sole reason for this difficult decision. He is currently intact, with a neuter scheduled for January 16th, 2026. He has been professionally trained since 5 months of age, including obedience and behavior work, using positive e-collar training. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, obedience trained, and muzzle conditioned. He is a highly intelligent, driven dog who would do best in a kid-free home with an experienced handler. We are working on boundary and resource guarding training exercises daily. He thrives with structure, consistency, and continued training. We are seeking a loving, committed home that understands working breeds and is willing to continue his training and provide clear leadership. Please reach out if you feel you could offer the experienced, kid-free home he needs.

Story
Jett is a beautiful, active, intelligent, 5 year old Australian Shepherd mix who loves to stay busy and engaged. He enjoys walks, playtime, and learning new things, and would thrive in an active home.Jett is sweet and loyal once comfortable, but can be cautious around men and will need patience and slow introductions to build trust. After spending time with Jett, we believe he will do best in a home with older kids and no smaller pets. With consistency and positive reinforcement, his playful and loving personality shines. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic companion and are willing to give him time to settle in, Jett will make a wonderful addition to your family!

Story
Peggy is a 7 year old sweet, energetic and fun dog. She makes a great companion, just needs to be walked on a daily basis. She would do best at a home as a single dog, please do not apply if you are looking for a 2nd or 3rd furry friend since we are only considering her for homes that want 1 dog only.Looking for a home that will give her the attention she needs. Great with kids!
