Story

Eli is a 6.5 year old Aussie who his people made the hard decision to surrender after he began nipping their toddler. They worked with trainers and don’t believe the behavior was intended to harm their child, but herding instead. Despite their best efforts, nothing was able to change his behavior. They reached out to us over a month ago and drove all the way from Georgia to find a rescue they believed would do right by him and keep him in a low-stress environment. We haven’t known Eli long but from what we have seen and have been told about him, he’s a super sweet and loving boy and should have no trouble finding a new forever home! As long as there are no small children, he’s the perfect dog! He’s crate trained, house trained, and has basic obedience. He’s very food motivated but due to his weight we recommend keeping extra snacks to a minimum. He’s friendly to all humans and good with smaller dogs. He’s good with bigger dogs too after a proper introduction, but he’s a bit fearful of them at first. Cats and other small animals a no-no though. He does need to lose some weight, but aside from that Eli is totally healthy and ready to be adopted! He’s microchipped, neutered, UTD on his vaccines, prevention, heartworm tested negative, and has a negative fecal test.

Story

Tucker is a large, friendly energetic dog. He is house trained and is not destructive. He loves people but is not great with other dogs, mostly male dogs. He is not great with small children as he sometimes forgets how big he is. With a new baby on the way we do not have the space and time to care for him properly and would prefer to find him a new home that would be a better match.

Our sweet Tucker is looking for his forever home. Tucker was surrendered after his family had a baby and no longer had proper time for his energy and activity level. He is 2 years and 3 months old. Tucker is an energetic and playful boy who will thrive with an active mom (or moms). Tucker does not like men and requires a female household. He also does not like boots. He is okay with some dogs, but is possessive over food and toys and will need patience when adapting to another dog in the household. He is non reactive on walks, it is only in the home where he is learning how to be with other pups.  He is a super smart boy who has been through training. He will thrive in the right environment and be your best bud forever!   ***Tucker has a bite history with men. He is okay with passing by them, but is still learning how to interact. Meet Bindi! This super sweet girl is a very petite Australian Shepherd at just 38lbs. She's all wiggle and has one beautiful blue eye and one brown eye. Bindi is a recent mom to 4 puppies. She was found near the Florida/Georgia border with her puppies, taken to a shelter and then flown to us. She is now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. In true Aussie fashion, Bindi is a bit of a nervous girl. She loves women and will stand up and hug you when she's feeling unsure of a situation. She can be nervous of men, but not all of the time. She is friendly with other dogs, but seems to be a bit inexperienced with them. She doesn't know how to play or interact yet, but she will get there! She just glues herself to her person :) She is completely housetrained and crate trained and does not mind being left in a crate while you are gone. She is so well behaved. She also rides great in the car and doesn't move around at all. A fenced yard is firm requirement for Bindi and another dog would be great and help her feel more confident.
