Bentley is looking for his forever family. He is almost 6, pure bred standard red Merle Australian Shepherd. He has 1 blue eye and 1 green eye and is intact. He stands tall and weighs about 55lbs. Bentley has been around other dogs, cats and children of all ages. He is a loyal companion, gives the best hugs, and loves his people. Bentley just wants to be close, if not in your lap, then right at your feet, regardless of where that may be!

Story
Eli is a 6.5 year old Aussie who his people made the hard decision to surrender after he began nipping their toddler. They worked with trainers and don’t believe the behavior was intended to harm their child, but herding instead. Despite their best efforts, nothing was able to change his behavior. They reached out to us over a month ago and drove all the way from Georgia to find a rescue they believed would do right by him and keep him in a low-stress environment. We haven’t known Eli long but from what we have seen and have been told about him, he’s a super sweet and loving boy and should have no trouble finding a new forever home! As long as there are no small children, he’s the perfect dog! He’s crate trained, house trained, and has basic obedience. He’s very food motivated but due to his weight we recommend keeping extra snacks to a minimum. He’s friendly to all humans and good with smaller dogs. He’s good with bigger dogs too after a proper introduction, but he’s a bit fearful of them at first. Cats and other small animals a no-no though. He does need to lose some weight, but aside from that Eli is totally healthy and ready to be adopted! He’s microchipped, neutered, UTD on his vaccines, prevention, heartworm tested negative, and has a negative fecal test.

Story
Tucker is a large, friendly energetic dog. He is house trained and is not destructive. He loves people but is not great with other dogs, mostly male dogs. He is not great with small children as he sometimes forgets how big he is. With a new baby on the way we do not have the space and time to care for him properly and would prefer to find him a new home that would be a better match.

Story
Our sweet Tucker is looking for his forever home. Tucker was surrendered after his family had a baby and no longer had proper time for his energy and activity level. He is 2 years and 3 months old. Tucker is an energetic and playful boy who will thrive with an active mom (or moms). Tucker does not like men and requires a female household. He also does not like boots. He is okay with some dogs, but is possessive over food and toys and will need patience when adapting to another dog in the household. He is non reactive on walks, it is only in the home where he is learning how to be with other pups.  He is a super smart boy who has been through training. He will thrive in the right environment and be your best bud forever!   ***Tucker has a bite history with men. He is okay with passing by them, but is still learning how to interact. Please do not apply for him if you are a single man or have multiple men in the household.   ##1671354##

Story
AT THE END OF NOVEMBER, ANIMAL CONTROL CONFISCATED THESE BOYS FROM A HORRIBLE SITUATION. BUBLÉ WAS IN ROUGH SHAPE BUT STABLE. BUDDY THE ELF WAS BARELY ALIVE WHEN FOUND. BOTH EMACIATED, LOADED WITH PARASITES OF ALL KINDS AND RAW, INFECTED SKIN FROM DEMODEX MANGE.  AS YOU CAN NOW SEE - THEY ARE DOING GREAT NOW! THEY ARE BOTH FULL GROWN YOUNG ADULTS AT ABOUT 30LBS OF LEGS AND TYPICAL HERDING TRAITS. AS THEIR FUR HAS GROWN BACK IN, OUR BEST GUESS IS AUSSIE MIX.  THEIR IDEAL HOMES WOULD BE SEPARATE BUT WITH ANOTHER CONFIDENT MEDIUM TO LARGE PUP THAT CAN CONTINUE TO TEACH THEM PROPER SOCIALIZATION AND MANNERS.  All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org. ##1899475##

Story
Adopted him out of the litter at 8weeks in august 2023. He’s a very playful energetic and loving boy. He loves attention and will follow you everywhere. Amazing on the leash and loves playing with other dogs Looking for a family who has the time and energy to devote to taking care of him and giving him the love and attention he deserves I work from home and am very busy with business calls and going in and out the house I don’t seem to have enough time for him that I’d like to give. He loves to lay on you and be with you at all times. Loves playing with toys and will be a joy for your family. Unfortunately I simply don’t have time to nurture him as I thought I would and don’t want him to feel neglected or bored. Need a loving family with enough time for him who loves a lap dog
