Loving, sweet, and extremely smart Aussie/German Shorthair Mix Needs New Home!! Scout is a half Australian Shepherd, half German Shorthair Pointer. He’s super smart, energetic, and affectionate young adult who has been living his best life on an acreage. We found him on the side of the road and have managed to give him a good life as long as we could. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen lifestyle shift and pregnancy, we can no longer give him the life he deserves. Temperament: Extremely Intelligent, loving, and faithful. Lifestyle: Loves to exercise but can cuddle on the couch with you all day also! Needs: A home with some room to run and/or someone who lives a more active lifestyle. Ideal Home: An active owner or family who can provide daily exercise and mental stimulation. A home with a large yard, acreage, or access to outdoor space.

He’s an approximately 2-year-old Border Collie/Aussie mix with the smarts, loyalty, and heart that herding breeds are known for. I’m a big love bug who thinks humans were put on this earth for one reason… to give me snuggles! I’ll follow you from room to room, curl up beside you on the couch (dog beds? no thanks), and keep you company all day long. I just love being close to my person. Now, I’m not gonna lie — I’m still a work in progress. The world can feel a little scary sometimes, and I’m learning to be brave! Things like strangers, bikes, and other dogs can make me nervous, so I need a patient, experienced human who will help me build confidence with positive reinforcement (no scary tools, please). I’m super smart and full of energy! I’d love a big fenced yard or property to zoom around on — apartment life just isn’t for me. I love playing fetch (still working on the “bring it back” part), tug-of-war, and sniffing out hidden toys. I’m also learning commands like “stay” and “leave it,” and I get better every day with yummy treats and praise. I’m crate trained, but I’d rather hang out with my people. I’m not destructive, and I promise to keep your couch warm while you’re gone! I also play rough sometimes (I just get so excited), so I’m learning self-control too. What I really need is someone who’ll understand me — someone patient, kind, and dedicated to helping me be the best boy I can be.
