Story
Goose is a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. We received him from a friend who trains dogs. He knows the commands Sit, Stay, Wait, Down (lay down), Come, Off (get off furniture or people), and Go to Bed. He is crate trained, house broken, leash trained, and has been trained not to get on the couch or bed. He is a sweet friendly dog who loves activity and people. Goose needs a family with older children that can play and run around with him or a family that is very active and willing to take him along for the ride! He loves a great game of fetch and to go on runs or walks.

Story
Meet your newest wigglebutt Christmas miracle This young mini Aussie is coming to us today and needs a cozy place to land. She’s a petite 20 lbs, a little too skinny, and 100% tail wags, happy hops, and sweet puppy eyes. Lola is fabulous with other dogs and loves all people too, especially ones that go slow and let her adjust.  She will be a medium to high energy girl, don't let those sleepy eyes fool you ! She currently thinks cats are to be chased - so she will need work if you have little mousers.     All she wants for Christmas is a howliday home — a warm couch, gentle love, and someone to tell her she’s safe now. Can you be her foster angel and help this girl sparkle through the holidays?   ##2607328##

Meet Darla!Darla is the sweetest girl with a heart of gold. She came into the shelter just days away from giving birth and has proven to be the most attentive, loving mama to her five beautiful puppies. Darla is gentle, devoted, and truly shines in how she cares for her babies. Once her puppies are ready to leave the nest, Darla will be ready for her own forever home at the end of this year. This special girl deserves a family who will love her as much as she has loved her pups. ##2612730##

Please contact Tanya (tanya@ppnk.org) for more information about this pet.Application is required - Please go to www.ppnk.orgAdoption fee '300Remi is a mini aussie weighing only 30lbs. She is about 2-3 yrs old. She gets along with all dogs but does have a high prey drive so small fluffy dogs and cats would not be good housemates. All our animals receive professional veterinary attention including spay/neuter, testing, vaccination, deworming, food and shelter. We only rescue from Animal Control and cannot accept lost, hurt or unwanted pets from individuals.  We are a licensed non-profit no-kill shelter.September 15, 2025, 11:53 am

Story
Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! That's the one word that describes Hazelnut in a nutshell. Hazelnut, Hazel or Hazzy (so many names for such a little dog) is a 1 year old australian shepherd/hound mix who is full grown at 42 pounds. As with many of our dogs, Hazel came to us from an overcrowded shelter, picked up as a stray by animal control. We don't know her exact background but everyone who meets her knows she is a charmer. She's still a puppy with all the puppy antics and playfulness but past all the chewing and destruction that comes with being a puppy. Hazel is calm, walks well on a leash, is house broken, gets along great with other dogs and cats, has all her shots, is heart-worm negative and spayed.  All she needs is a new home & family to call her own.  Come meet Hazelnut and you'll fall in love immediately. We did! Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2597850##
