Story
Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain. She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She needs a very slow introduction to other dogs but has been able to play with and be around some other non dominant dogs. She does have Addison disease which is kept in control with a monthly injection. She would benefit from a forever home with someone who can keep up with that and give her a calm loving environment to spend her golden years. Her adoption fee is sponsored https://www.pupandcatco.com/

Story
Meet Noelle — a beautiful 18-month-old, 35-lb Border Collie mix who decided to make her grand entrance into rescue life on Christmas Eve . Saved by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Noelle arrived seriously underweight and with an old harness that had clearly overstayed its welcome (embedded harnesses are not a fashion trend we recommend). While she once had a home, no one came looking for this sweet girl — but their loss is about to be someone else’s very big win. Noelle has big, soulful brown eyes and the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen. Braces won’t be necessary (lol) — she eats just fine and is happily rediscovering her curves one meal at a time. True to her Border Collie roots, Noelle gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and enjoys herding the bigger animals whenever possible. (Someone has to keep order, after all.) She’s currently polishing up her potty training and table manners, both of which will thrive with a consistent and loving family. Noelle would be an excellent fit for an active family with children and room to run. Because she’s basically powered by rocket fuel, very small children or infants may not be her best match — she has enthusiasm to spare. From morning zoomies to evening playtime, Noelle is full-throttle fun… until bedtime, when she happily transforms into a snuggly cuddle bug. If Noelle sounds perfect to you — that’s because she is. Come meet this precious young pup and prepare for your heart to melt. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2623115##

Story
~Requires fenced in yard~ Chole is a beautiful 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix with a sweet soul and a gentle heart. She’s a smart, affectionate girl who forms strong bonds and truly loves being part of a family. She does well with cats, other dogs, and children, and she is housebroken. Chole knows sit and, like many herding breeds, thrives with learning, routine, and interactive play. Chole is an active dog who loves to run, play, and explore. A fenced yard is required to help her burn off energy, and she would enjoy an adopter who likes walks, games, or outdoor time. She’s happiest when she has both physical activity and mental enrichment. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and may take a bit of time to warm up—especially with men—but once she does, she’s incredibly loving, gentle, and affectionate. Chole enjoys companionship and does best in a home where she isn’t alone for long stretches. Having another dog in the home helps her feel secure and confident. Chole is a sensitive, loyal dog who wants to please and be close to her people. She would do best with experienced dog owners who understand active, intelligent breeds and can provide consistent exercise, guidance, and enrichment. Chole is looking for an active, loving home where she can stay engaged, feel secure, and share her big heart with her family. Chole weighs about 40lbs and is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 02/24/2020). Chloe has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Chloe's adoption fee is $315. If you want more information about Chloe, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Sierra is a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit made for adventure. Found as a stray and cared for by a kind family before coming to us, she’s now ready to find her perfect match. This sweet and independent girl thrives on activity and exploration—she absolutely loves to run, play, and spend time outdoors. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer, and she’ll do best in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. Sierra can be a bit shy at first, but once she knows you, her personality truly blossoms. She becomes affectionate, playful, and will gladly lean in for cuddles and attention. She’s especially happy around other dogs and enjoys canine playmates. However, she’d do best in a home without small children, as she can be startled by fast movements and loud noises. While not housetrained yet, Sierra is very smart and learns quickly—she already knows “sit,” “wait,” and “come.” Sierra isn’t a constant cuddle bug, but she loves to be near her people, and her loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion. She weighs about 57 lbs and has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Her estimated birth date is 07/23/2024, and her adoption fee is $185. 🎁 Bonus! Thanks to Subaru, Sierra’s adoption comes with three free professional training sessions to help support her transition and set everyone up for success. If you want to know more about Sierra, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
