Story
Goose is a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. We received him from a friend who trains dogs. He knows the commands Sit, Stay, Wait, Down (lay down), Come, Off (get off furniture or people), and Go to Bed. He is crate trained, house broken, leash trained, and has been trained not to get on the couch or bed. He is a sweet friendly dog who loves activity and people. Goose needs a family with older children that can play and run around with him or a family that is very active and willing to take him along for the ride! He loves a great game of fetch and to go on runs or walks.

She is about 2-3 yrs old. She gets along with all dogs but does have a high prey drive so small fluffy dogs and cats would not be good housemates. All our animals receive professional veterinary attention including spay/neuter, testing, vaccination, deworming, food and shelter. We only rescue from Animal Control and cannot accept lost, hurt or unwanted pets from individuals.  We are a licensed non-profit no-kill shelter.September 15, 2025, 11:53 am

Story
Meet Sadie, a sweet and gentle 3-year-old Australian Shepherd looking for a loving forever home. She’s about 40 lbs, fully vetted, and spayed. Sadie is timid, calm, and incredibly kind—great with cats, kids, and other dogs. She’s housebroken, crate/leash trained, and knows basic commands. Sadie is truly a wonderful dog, but she does have mild separation anxiety and feels much more secure with another dog around. She’ll thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion or someone who’s home often. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle soul to add to your family, Sadie is ready to love you back. *Adoption fee will be donated to my favorite rescue.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Axl! This resilient pup is one of eight dogs rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Hall County. We’re so thankful he’s safe with us now and ready to begin his search for a forever home. Axl is under-socialized and will need a patient, understanding family to help him continue building confidence. A fenced-in yard is required, as it will give him a safe space to explore and adjust at his own pace. While it may take time for Axl to settle into new surroundings and people, with love and patience he will blossom into a devoted companion. Axl weighs 60lbs., is approximately 8 years old (est. birth date 02/17/2017), and his adoption fee is $85. Axl has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Axl, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
