Story
Meet Travis Travis is a handsome 5-year-old, 27-lb mini Aussie who loves to be active outside but also loves getting attention and belly rubs inside. Travis is a quick learner and is currently learning tricks from my young kids. He has lots of fur but enjoys being brushed and will sit completely still for you. He likes to go for long walks and will accept pets from anyone we meet on the way. He gets long fine with our older dog and plays with the other mini Aussie we are fostering. In terms of house training, Travis hasn't had any accidents inside but does currently try to mark if you aren't watching him closely, but we are optimistic that with time and patience, he will stop. If you're looking for an active dog that is good with kids and wants to keep you company, Travis could be the perfect match for you! Travis is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Taylor! Taylor is a 2.5 year old, 39-lb Mini Aussie who has lots of energy and loves being around her people! Taylor has lots of puppy energy and loves long walks and playing in the back yard with her foster family's younger kids and other foster dog. Sometimes she forgets how big she is and will run into people/things or crawl into your lap. Taylor is very fluffy and loves to be brushed. She is still unsure about new people and new places, but seems to warm up after some time. In terms of house training, she is doing great and has not had any accidents inside. If you're looking for the biggest lover who will greet you with full body kisses every time you walk in the door and has lots of energy and loves being outdoors, Taylor might be your perfect match! Taylor is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450. Taylor is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. Story
Cody is a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd mix! This handsome boy is very happy and outgoing, loves going on adventures and spending time with his foster family. He weighs in around 58 pounds, but is pretty leggy! This boy is all puppy, and loves to play and receive lots of attention from his foster family. He's working very hard on not jumping up when excited, and learning basic manners and training! Cody is super sweet and loves to learn; he's extremely treat motivated and hopes his forever family will continue training with him. He is fostered with four cats who he loves. He does well with them, but may engage in a playful chase from time to time. He'd do best in a home with cats that are dog savvy, and won't be startled by his big puppy energy! He is also fostered with other dogs his size, and previously lived with small dogs. Cody would benefit from a confident and social sibling to help him continue to build his confidence. He loves to play rough, but needs some time to acclimate to his new friends before he's ready to wrestle. He enjoys attending doggy daycare where he can run and play and burn off his energy. While he previously lived with a tiny human, he would do best in a home with older kids - teenagers only please! He's both potty trained and crate trained, and working on walking well on his leash. He loves stuffed toys, especially those with squeakers! Cody enjoys running around and does great burning off his energy in the backyard. His ideal forever family will be patient with him as he works on his training and becomes the best version of himself! Cody's adoption is $275! To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Story
Come meet me and hundreds of my adoptable friends at My Furry Valentine at the Sharonville Convention Center (11355 Chester Rd, Sharonville, OH 45246) on Saturday, February 17th from 10am - 5pm and on Sunday, February 18th from 12pm - 5pm! Meet Bloo an absolutely gorgeous 4 year old, 40 lb mini Australian Shepherd. She is an Amish puppy mill survivor! Bloo's foster mom can't stop raving about just how breathtakingly beautiful she is and well she isn't wrong! Bloo is also as soft as the softest plush stuffed animal out there! In true Aussie fashion once Bloo warms up to you she will velcro herself to you and be your buddy for always. A comfy couch or lap are some of her favorite things Bloo has spent 4 years in a crummy living situation and as such she's learning how to be a proper pupper and the ins and outs of such. So we're working on potty training (the outside is a strange place and its very big and there are lots of smells and things to just stop and look at!), but she has really taken to understanding and using puppy pee pads! So for a dog like Bloo that is fantastic progress! Leashes are super scary, but we are working on it. Loud noises and sudden movements are also scary. Bloo doesn't necessarily run away, but she does very aggressively trot away (she wants you to know she's offended you would scary her) Bloo would do amazing in a house with a confident dog to show her the ropes of being, well a dog! A home with older children that aren't prone to sudden bursts of fast movement and noise would also be best for her as she learns to adjust to a lot of strange new noises that are scary and interesting all at once. Bloo is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
