Between July 5th and July 26th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $70! Get ready to cozy up with a great Novelist! Virginia Woolf is an almost 7-month-old, 35 pound mixed breed girl ready to begin the next chapter of life! Virginia is a sweet, playful pup full of curiosity, embracing new experiences with a wagging tail. She loves toys and treats, exploring the outdoors, chasing a favorite friend and snuggling up after a busy day. Virginia is still young and learning but loves positive attention. She is crate trained, knows some basic commands, and is working on leash skills. With a little patience, consistency and love she's ready to be a lifelong companion. Virginia is looking for a family ready to help her write the rest of her story. Apply today to meet Virginia Woolf and help her become a true classic. Virginia Woolf is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Morticia! Morticia is a 5-year-old, 40-pound mixed breed with a heart full of love and a favorite pastime—snuggling with her people. This sweet girl has plenty of superpowers! She's exceptionally house-trained and can comfortably hold it for long periods without accidents. Morticia is also a smart cookie who already knows commands like come, sit, and down. Most of all, she's a true cuddle bug who is happiest relaxing beside the people she loves. While Morticia is deeply devoted to her family, new places and unfamiliar environments can make her feel anxious. She thrives on routine and feels most comfortable in familiar surroundings. On walks, she prefers to keep to herself, giving other dogs and people plenty of space. Because of this, a home with a physically fenced yard would be ideal for her. Morticia's favorite things are simple: a good meal and spending quality time close to her humans. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will greet you with excitement every time you walk through the door, Morticia is ready to be your very best friend. Morticia is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is a 3-year-old, 60lb Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his fluffy coat. Through no fault of his own, Charlie and his sister, Mae, found themselves in rescue after their beloved owner was hospitalized and sadly would not be returning home. While losing everything he knew was heartbreaking, Charlie has proven that love and resilience can carry you through. Now, this bestest boy is ready to find a family to call his own. Charlie is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and completely housebroken. He's settling into foster care beautifully and has quickly become everyone's favorite cuddle buddy. During the day, Charlie is a perfect gentleman. He's happy to hang out by the couch, keeping you company while you work, watch TV, or simply relax. When nighttime comes, however, Charlie's favorite place is snuggled up in bed with his people. If you're looking for a dog who believes there's no such thing as being too close to the ones he loves, Charlie is your perfect match. Charlie absolutely adores his foster dog siblings and would love a home with another confident, well-adjusted dog. Like any good Aussie, he has a natural herding instinct, so he'll do best with a canine friend who doesn't mind his playful style. He's also an active boy who would love a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and get the zoomies out before coming inside for cuddles. Charlie walks well on a leash but does get excited and can pull, so he'll benefit from a family willing to continue his leash manners and help him become the perfect walking companion. Because Charlie sometimes forgets just how big he is when he's excited, we'd recommend a home with older children. His enthusiasm comes from a place of pure joy—his favorite way to show affection is by enthusiastically leaning, bumping, and loving on his people with his whole heart. Charlie has already experienced more change than any dog should have to, but he hasn't let it change the loving, loyal dog he is. He's looking for a family that will embrace him as a true member of the household, include him in adventures, laugh at his goofy moments, and always save him a spot beside them—especially at bedtime. If you're looking for a best friend who will fill your home with love, laughter, and endless devotion, Charlie is ready to meet you. Charlie is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $275.00.
