☀️ Meet Sunny! ☀️Sunny is a 3½-year-old mixed breed who lives up to her name in every way. She’s delightfully fat and sassy, proudly rocking her curves, and firmly believes belly rubs are a basic human responsibility. This easy-going girl is as friendly as they come. Sunny gets along great with cats, dogs, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for just about any family. She’s laid-back, happy to go with the flow, and always ready to make a new best friend. One of Sunny’s favorite things? Talking to people. She’s got plenty to say and loves being part of the conversation—whether it’s greeting you at the door, asking for snacks, or reminding you it’s belly-rub o’clock. If you’re looking for a sweet, social, lovable chunk of sunshine to brighten your days, Sunny is ready to move in and steal your couch (and your heart). ☀️🐾More information? Story
Meet Chief Keef!! He came in as a stray on 4/11/26, and we think he is about 2 years old. Let’s just get this out of the way—this boy acts like he personally survived the Great Food Shortage of 2026. 🍗 Chief Keef came to us extremely underweight, so right now food is his entire personality. Treats? Life. Meals? Also life. Your sandwich? Definitely his business. He’s still learning that food will keep coming and he doesn’t have to go full survival mode every time snacks appear. We are currently feeding him three times a day with a slow feeder, and his future human will need to keep working on his “the food isn’t going anywhere, my guy” mindset. Because of his enthusiasm (read: absolute chaos) around food, we’re recommending no small kids—mostly because tiny humans tend to wander around holding snacks like little moving buffets. Under all that food obsession is a super sweet, friendly dog who just needs someone to show him that life is safe, meals are guaranteed, and he can finally relax. He’s going to be an amazing dog for someone willing to put in a little patience (and maybe guard their snacks for a bit). Chief Keef is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet him! Chief Keef is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH Phone: 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

Story
Meet Edwin – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making 🖤🐾 Edwin’s journey brought him to us from another shelter, and now this handsome, all-black mixed breed is ready to find a forever home of his own. Still young and bursting with energy, Edwin is basically a 55-pound spark of excitement just waiting for the right person to share it with. If your idea of a perfect day includes fresh air, open space, and a loyal sidekick by your side, Edwin might just be your guy. He loves being outdoors—whether you’re grilling, soaking up the sun, or just enjoying some peace and quiet, Edwin will happily keep you company. Give him room to explore, and you’ll see him at his happiest. Even better? Edwin is currently thriving in a foster home with a pack of other dogs and is doing great! He enjoys their company and is learning the ropes of home life, making him a wonderful candidate for a multi-dog household. Edwin is looking for someone who’s ready to guide him, teach him, and help him continue learning and growing. With consistency, patience, and a little training, this goofy, energetic pup has all the potential to become an incredible companion. And after a day full of adventure? Edwin is more than ready to head inside, crash, and relax right next to his favorite human. If you’re searching for a fun-loving, outdoorsy dog with tons of personality and even more potential, Edwin is ready to meet you—and steal your heart.

She has a lot of energy and doesn't realize her own size. She's playful, enjoys all toys & playing fetch. She has separation anxiety which means she does not do well when left alone. Will chew on shoes if given the opportunity and when left alone. Can be fearful of men with loud voices. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped.
