Unfortunately things have taken a turn and we are in a position where we have to rehome this little guy. he is a very hyper boy and will need as much space as possible. All recent shots have been given and dewormers. We will provide the crate and some toys and bowls..we’d prefer him to go somewhere with alot of space or just someone that can give him a lot of time and training for his energy level

Got him when he was 4 months old at petland. Will be 5 in September. Super sweet with high energy. Very good with other people and animals. Loves going to the dog park and car rides. He is a dog that loves to constantly by my your side. Is always laying at my feet. We have two young kids that he adores. Just doesn't like little hands pulling his fur. Has never been aggressive or bitten anyone. Had experience getting groomed by a groomer.

Meet Moana. She is a 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. Moana weighs 43 lbs. She came from a household who had other dogs and is now in a foster with dogs and does great. She is also very good with respectful children. Moana is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She just needs a 4dx test which is scheduled for 1/9. UPDATE: Her test was negative for everything. We do want an adopter to have a fenced yard and maybe some breed knowledge. She was an also housebroken. Her adoption fee is $250. If interested in Moana, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. Story
Jake the Great is finally here! This animated boy is 3 years old, a tall 55-lbs, and enjoys nothing more than some playtime, long walks, and cuddles on the sofa. Jake did not get off to a great start in life, and by no fault of his own ended up at a Scioto County shelter before being scooped up by PAWS. He is ready for his big break with his forever family. He has no known health issues and has been quick to learn how to be alone in the house when his foster parents are out and about. House trained, learning how leashes and walks work, but maybe a little impatient with dinner, Jake has matured into a more confident gentleman. He is good with cats and dogs and especially appreciates having somebody that can help him work through some of his boundless energy. His next family should be ready to be patient with the goofball. He needs daily exercise and has trouble walking across smooth hardwood floors with his giraffe-like legs. Jake is available to meet and greet at the many PAWS events!  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start February 16, 2026, 9:16 am

In the Prison Dog Program Meet Damian!! He came in as a stray on 11/16/25, and we think he’s about 3 years old. This is actually his second time here—he was adopted from us in 2023. We aren't sure why his owner hasn’t come in to pick him up, but what we do know is that Damian is ready to start fresh with someone who truly sees his sparkle. Damian is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky guy who just needs someone who can help him channel all that enthusiasm into fun, love, and adventure. He is super sweet, incredibly friendly, and he gives the kind of gentle kisses that melt your heart on contact. He already knows how to sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more—especially if treats are involved! He is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this lovable boy who’s hoping his next home is his forever one.
